Lenten Meditations
Once again, the Diocese of Ohio will be providing daily meditations during Lent. They will be sent out via Constant Contact and posted on the Diocesan Facebook page daily.
Summer Camp at Bellwether Farm
Bellwether Farm offers a traditional overnight summer camp where school-age children can immerse themselves in fun, engaging activities. These programs will seek to teach healthy social, nutritional, and environmental practices, while providing a safe context in which to encounter God's beautiful creation. Campers will have an opportunity to learn about organic gardening, animal care, and creative cooking. They will also participate in traditional camp activities including swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, fishing, field games, and archery. The Bellwether Farm staff is invested in the life of every camper, seeking to inspire future generations to become passionate leaders in the world around them.

Lenten Quiet Day Retreat
The Daughters of the King (DOK) and the Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Ohio invite you to a Lenten Quiet Day Retreat from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday,  March 9 at St. Barnabas, Bay Village. The theme is "Be still and know that I am God." The facilitators are the Rev. Ann Kidder, Diocese of Ohio DOK Chaplain; and the Rev. Barbara Maxwell, Deacon and St. Mary's DOK Chapter Chaplain. Registration is $15 per person and includes a catered lunch. Please complete and return the  registration form with your check.
Happening 2019
The 2019 Happening will be March 15-17 at Bellwether Farm.  Happenings are spiritual renewals led by older student peers. Happening begins Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. and ends on Sunday with Eucharist around 2:00 p.m. Prepare to stay the entire weekend.  Registrations fill up quickly and we want to assure you of a place. Don't delay filling out an application and a consent form. Send the completed application and a $75.00 check (memo Happening) made out to The Diocese of Ohio to the Diocesan Offices at 2230 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44115 to the attention of the Rev. Upcoming Safeguarding Trainings

Installation of the Very Reverend Bernard J. Owens, IV
Please join us at the  Installation of the Very Reverend Bernard J. Owens, IV as the twelfth Dean of Trinity Cathedral at a Choral Evensong on Sunday, March 24 at 4:00 p.m. Clergy are invited to vest and process in Choir dress and tippet. A reception will follow immediately thereafter.
Summer Internships with the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio
The Diocese of Ohio is currently seeking four interns to assist in various offices throughout the summer. Interns will be asked to work a total of 200 hours - approximately ten weeks between June and August. There is a stipend of $10-$12/hour, dependent upon skills and previous experience. The list of  internship opportunities is now available.

 for which you are applying, why each internship interests you, and what the experience you would bring to the position.

Carlotta East Scholarship
Carlotta East scholarship applications are now being accepted. This program has assisted many Diocese of Ohio women with financial aid since it was first established in 1945. Funds are available for those who need assistance to complete their education, upgrade their skills before returning to the workforce, or complete religious training. The usual grant for scholarship aid is approximately $1,000. Applicants must hold at least junior undergraduate status by August 2019 in order to apply. Clergy Renewal of Vows
Clergy Renewal of Vows & Blessing of Holy Oils will take place on Monday, April 15 at Trinity Church, Toledo and at Trinity Cathedral on Tuesday, April 16. Both services begin at 12:00 p.m. and will be followed by lunch. Please register through Eventbrite by Tuesday, April 2. Big Provincial Gathering
Province V of The Episcopal Church invites you to the Big Provincial Gathering in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 12-13. Mike Michie, Mission Developer for The Episcopal Church, will be the keynote speaker and conference emcee. Workshops of all aspects of ministry will be offered. Choral Evensong at Trinity Cathedral
The Choral Evensong is an evening service, rich with contrasts between light and dark, and sung by the Trinity Cathedral Choir, the Trinity Chamber Singers, or a local guest choir. Offered weekly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m., now through May 15. Each service commemorates a saint from Holy Women, Holy Men, The Episcopal Church's book of saints. The service is followed at 7:00 p.m. by a community soup and salad supper, catered by Luna Bakery & Cafe. The suggested meal donation $6 .
Lenten Fish Fry
St. Philip's, Akron is hosting Lenten Fish Fry dinners on March 8, March 22, and April 5. All meals will be served from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The menu will be catfish or tilapia, baked and green beans, cole slaw, dessert, and a beverage. The dinner is $10.00 for dine-in or carry-out. A Lenten Art Retreat
Deacon Lydia Bailey will be facilitating a Lenten Art Retreat at the Cleveland Museum of Art on Wednesday,  March 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It will be a partially self-directed Lenten retreat involving the participant's reflection on one or two pieces of art. The retreat leader will prepare participants for choosing a piece of art for personal reflection. The art one settles on can speak to us spiritually without having a conventional religious subject. It can be an icon that serves as a window into God.  This retreat has been offered to different parishes for five years; this year it will be with participants from St. Christopher's, Gates Mills. There is no cost to the workshop. The museum opens at 10:00 a.m. and the retreat will convene under the bamboo trees in the Atrium shortly thereafter.
Brown Bag Concerts at Trinity Cathedral
Trinity Cathedral will host a Brown Bag Concert "Those Sassy Ladies" on March 13 at 12:00 p.m. as part of their Movie Memories series. The concert will feature vocalists  Kristine Caswelch as she sings classics from movies both old and new. Trinity Cathedral will also host a Brown Bag Concert "From Crooners to Heartthrobs" on March 20 at 12:00 p.m as part of their Movie Memories series. JR Fralick will perform movie songs that are near and dear to everyone. For either concert, y ou may bring a brown bag lunch or purchase one for $7 .
Brown Bag Concert
St. Paul's, Medina is hosting a Brown Bag Concert on March 19 at 12:00 p.m. The concert will feature The Harmonia Band as they play folk music from Eastern Europe. Bring your own brown bag lunch or purchase one for $5.00 by calling 330.725.4131 at least 24 hours before the concert. Coffee and tea will be provided. Free will donations for the concert will be gratefully accepted .
Shrimp Fry Fundraiser
The Church of the Good Shephered, Lyndhurst is holding a Shrimp Fry Fundraiser on March 29 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The fundraiser will offer three meals for dine-in or take-out. You will be able to purchase a shrimp meal for $12.00, a kid's meal for $4.00, or a vegetarian meal for $10.00. Cold drinks and homemade desserts will be available for purchase. Apply to be a Youth on the EYE20 Planning Team
Episcopal youth are invited to apply to serve on the Planning Team for the 2020 Episcopal Youth Event (EYE20).  To be eligible for the Planning Team, youth applicants must be currently enrolled in grades 9 - 11 and be a communicant in good standing in an Episcopal Church congregation.   The deadline for receiving applications is March 17 by 5:00 p.m. EST .
