Second B Family,

Our Vision and Leadership Team may have already met (digitally and in-person) in 2020 more than all of 2019. I ask you pray for them this Monday, May 18. Along with our chair for Worship Implementation, our pastors and our administrator, we continue to consider the wisdom of God as to when we might meet together on site for worship. Next week, I imagine you will receive an update from VLT. I thank you for your prayers and patience. If there is a way we might be of help to you, please let me know or call the office.

Vicki Polk Retires as
Kids Hope Director

Teachers change the world, one child at a time, so can you imagine the impact Vicki Nichols-Polk has had on our world? She has that special gift which makes every child she comes in contact with feel empowered and loved! Vicki came out of retirement from education in 2012 to work for over 8 years as the Kids Hope Director for Second B. She has grown our program by multiplying the number of mentors and expanding into two schools. Vicki has reached beyond the walls of Second B by encouraging mentors in our community to be a part of our program. She has done a tremendous job as the Director and is now ready to retire once more! Vicki and Bobby will finally have the time to travel and spend time with family. We are grateful for the gift we have been given through Vicki and look forward to celebrating her retirement in person when we can all be together again. What a blessing you are, Vicki!
