Summertime at TLC has been a blast! This month we have our family event at Citi Field on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 1:00pm. We're sure to have a great time with all of our TLC friends and family!

We are also looking forward to our carnival event on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 10:30am-12:30pm. We are hoping for good weather! Parents, please feel free to stop by!

Please see below for important information regarding orientation, tuition, vacation and transition weeks and back to school night.

Orientation and Back to School Night
We will hold a  Parent Orientation  for new and returning students from both schools. We will go over school policies, navigating the website, communication, and teacher/student placement:

Date: Thursday, August 8, 2019
Time: We will start promptly at 6:00pm
Location: Brookside

In addition to the orientation, we will have  Back to School Night  where you can meet your child's teacher and go over the curriculum:

Date: Thursday, September 5, 2019*
Time: We will start promptly at 6:15pm
Location: Merrick Avenue Location
*Toddler 2 only will meet on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.
Vacation and Transition Weeks
  • WE ARE CLOSED AUGUST 19-23, 2019 FOR VACATION. If your child will NOT return in September, their last day of school will be August 
  • 16, 2019.
  • The week of August 26, 2019 is transition week for children starting or returning in September. Please advise of your schedule that week by sending me an email.
August Tuition for Children Who will NOT Return in September
If your child currently attends TLC and  will NOT be returning in September , your tuition amount will be reduced. For an updated amount, please click here to send me an email .
Tuition Rates
As a friendly reminder, the monthly rates will increase as of September 1, 2019. Please click the button below for a full list of rates.
Medicals
 Updated forms are needed at the following dates: 3-6-9-12-18 months &
2-3-4-5 years.

You will be reminded as your child's birthday or medical expires.
Please use TLC's form every time.
Medications can be administered with proper doctor's permission and medication that matches. For example: we cannot administer Tylenol if your doctor specified Motrin. It is VERY specific.

All medication must be provided in its original packaging including the cup/syringe. This will ensure proper dispensing of the dose.

If you want medication to be given to your child to manage pain, or if your child has allergies and they require medication, please speak to an MAT trained teacher to check in your forms/medicines.

This Month's Menu
The latest menus can be found on our website.

Please bring in an alternative if your child does not eat what is on the menu. For children under 18 months, please continue to bring in yogurt, fruits/vegetables, and infant snacks. Some of the snacks are not appropriate for their age group and we don’t always have alternatives.

PLEASE LABEL ALL FOOD ITEMS.

As a reminder, breakfast is over by 8:40am. Children should be in by 8:30am if you want them to be fed breakfast.
