International Research & Scholarship Grant

The Office of International Affairs, the Office of Research, the Graduate School, the Office of Student Academic Success and the Global Gateways are sponsoring a grant competition with separate tracks for faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students. Proposals are sought for a wide range of research and scholarship projects including the exploration of languages, cultures, arts, social sciences, and area studies. The application deadline is January 10, 2020.

The Center for Latin American Studies at The Ohio State University is seeking applications for fellowships for Summer 2020 and Academic Year 2020-2021 under the U.S. Department of Education's Title VI Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship program. These fellowships are available to all full-time undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at all levels and in any department who are pursuing a course of study which requires advanced foreign language and area studies training.

The final info session will take place on January 15 from 12:30-1:30 PM in Enarson Classroom Building, Rm 100 (inside the OIA Rm 140 Suite).

DEADLINE EXTENDED: 2019-20 Area Studies Centers Conference Grant program

The Ohio State University Area Studies Centers are accepting proposals from OSU faculty members for the OIA Area Studies Centers Conference Grants program. To further develop and enhance area studies research and dialogue at OSU, this grant competition seeks proposals for conferences focusing on the study of global issues from interdisciplinary, multi-regional perspectives. Funding will support a conference that brings together area studies experts. Awards of up to $15,000 will be made for conferences taking place between August 15, 2020 and August 14, 2021. The deadline for pre-proposals has been extended through January 24, 2020. CLASP Launches New Faculty Research/Professional Development Grant!

The Consortium of Latin American Studies Programs (CLASP) is proud to announce a new faculty research and professional development grant. The competitive grant, fully funded by CLASP, provides awards of up to $1000 to support professional advancement for faculty at CLASP member institutions. This new program is designed to provide faculty with additional support for enhanced teaching and expanded production of Latin American Studies scholarship.
