Reminder: Complete Student Placement Survey for the '21-'22 school year
|
The form below provides an opportunity for you to share what type of environment best supports your child and their ability to learn. As we create our class list for the 2021-2022 school year, we will take your feedback into consideration. There are several factors that are taken into consideration when planning for our student learning groups.

Reminder: Returning Student Registration: Action Required by May 16
There are two online forms that must be completed for your student’s returning registration.
-
Please log into your Ascender account and click on the Registration button and you will be guided through to complete the forms. In most cases, it should just show as a pop-up option for you. However, if you do not see the Registration pop-up prompt, then click on Summary on the left side of the screen and then you will see it.
-
Click here to complete the Registration Questionnaire. If you have more than one child, you must complete one for each child.
If you have a change of address, please email a copy of your most recent utility bill to registration@mwschool.org. Please include your student’s full name in that email.

Save the Date: 6th Grade Lion's Camp and Parent Orientation July 28
On July 28, Meridian Middle School hosts its annual 6th Grade Lion's Camp for students (in person only) from 9 am to noon. Later that evening, we will host a 6th grade Parent Orientation from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
The purpose of Lion's Camp is for students to familiarize themselves with their new building and meet their 6th grade teachers. The parent orientation later that evening is to provide important information about your child's transition to middle school and meet key staff.
The middle school team will provide more information as we approach July 28. For questions related to Lion's Camp or the parent orientation, please contact Matthew Castaneda at m.castaneda@mwschool.org.
Current 5th Graders also got a chance to learn more about 6th grade from Kristen Machczynski, MYP Coordinator, during Specials classes. Check out the accompanying FAQs.

Thank you for helping to name our Meridian chickens! Earlier this year we held a chicken naming contest to help us name all of our chickens. The results are in and we are excited to introduce our chickens by name to our community! Thank you to all the students who submitted ideas!
Meet Sunflower, Goldie, Nugget and Caramel (top to bottom on top picture)! Sunflower and Caramel are our two Easter Eggers and Goldie and Nugget are our two yellow Buff Orpingtons.
Sadly, we share that our white Plymouth Rock chicken, Marshmallow, passed away last week. She was the leader of the pack and had so much personality. We will miss her!
