Saturday Stories for your Family:
Sun & Moon Fire & Flood
If you don’t see a Man in the Moon, what do you see? Why are the Sun and the Moon always chasing each other? Where did Fire come from?
There are Floods in the Bible, in Puyallup heritage in the Tsunamis of Japan. Are they the same story?

Tacoma Sister Cities brings you folk stories from our sister countries around the world to challenge your imagination and possibly answer some of these questions.

Saturday, June 26 - 3:00 to 4:00pm

Upcoming Tacoma Sister Cities Exhibit
The Tacoma Historical Society, Tacoma Sister Cities and the Port of Tacoma are joining together to tell the Story of Tacoma on the Global Stage.

This Exhibition tells the stories of cultural and educational exchanges, humanitarian aid and sports competitions.

You will see gifts that have been presented to our Mayors and Port Directors that have never before been exhibited in one place.

The Exhibition opens at the end of July and runs until mid December at the new Museum of the Tacoma Historical Society at South 4th and Tacoma Avenue.

Each Sister City Committee will have an evening to tell its Stories and show its treasures. The first evening Reception will be the Grand Opening on Thursday, September 19th at 5 pm. The stories of Kitakyushu, Japan, will be told. EVERYONE who has ever been involved with Sister Cities & Ports or wants to learn about how they work is INVITED to join us.
