PARKS & RECREATION ROUNDUP
FEBRUARY 26, 2019
Welcome to the Parks & Recreation Roundup, a bi-monthly publication aimed at
keeping the community informed on our programs, events, and partnerships
DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS
Triple Crown Sports Proposal
Triple Crown Sports has requested limited use of the Emerald Park Sports Complex for five youth baseball tournaments (19 days) annually. The tournaments would take place June through August in 2019 and 2020. This topic is on the agenda for tonight's City Council Meeting, and the public is invited to attend to learn more about the proposal and provide feedback.
Teens On Tour | March 14-15
With the next round of Parent/Teacher conferences quickly approaching, are you searching for a fun activity for your Middle School student during the days off? Teens on Tour will be heading down to Colorado Springs and staying overnight at the Great Wolf Lodge on March 14-15. Your kids will have a blast splashing and sliding at the lodge's indoor water park.
Commercial Operator Permits
On March 13, the Parks and Recreation Commission will review all commercial river operations and requests for business on the Yampa River for 2019. All businesses renewing their annual operation permit, and any new business interested in applying for commercial operations on the Yampa River, must submit their requests to Parks and Recreation by March 1, 2019.
