Note that there is a weekly version of the newsletter for a local audience, and a monthly version for a broader audience. Director of Institute for Quality Communities to Serve as Featured Speaker During "Lessons Learned in Community Engagement: Building Reciprocity in Partnerships"
The OU Center for Faculty Excellence will host the first Lessons Learned Lunch on December 5, 12 - 2 p.m. in Old Science Hall (Room 103). Dr. Nancy Snow and Shane Hampton will share experiences of building mutually beneficial, reciprocal partnerships with community partners. Their work in the Institute for the Study of Human Flourishing and the Institute for Quality Communities is built on effective and sustainable relationships in the community.

"Tectonic Entomological Investigations" Exhibition of Second-Year Architecture Student Work on Display at Fine Arts Library
Join us for an exhibition presented by the OU Fine Arts Library and Gibbs College of Architecture! "Tectonic Entomological Investigations" is a collection of analytical drawings and handmade work produced by students enrolled in the second-year architectural design studio. The work will be on display until December 13.

Urban Land Institute-Oklahoma to Host Northeast Oklahoma City Food Security Symposium
Join us for a discussion on food security at Metro Tech Auditorium in northeast Oklahoma City on Wed., Dec. 11. OKC Councilwoman Nikki Nice will facilitate a discussion with Dr. LaVonna Lewis, teaching professor of Public Policy and the associate dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, Dr. Ashanté Reese, assistant professor in the department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Gibbs College's own Dr. Bryce Lowery, assistant professor of Regional + City Planning. Admission is free! Gibbs College of Architecture is pleased to be a Community Partner for this event.

Renegades: Bruce Goff and the American School of Architecture
Exhibition Opens at Fred Jones on January 24
The exhibition
Renegades: Bruce Goff and the American School of Architecture
tells the story of this exciting period in architectural history by featuring selections from the American School
Archive, as well as virtual tours of several residences designed by Bruce Goff and digitally rendered by Skyline Ink of Oklahoma City. The exhibition opens Friday, Jan. 24.

Charles W. Graham Travel Study Dinner Benefit Tickets On Sale Now
The Charles W. Graham Travel Study Benefit Dinner will be held on February 7, 2020, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Petroleum Club in Oklahoma City. It will feature a multi-course meal with fine wine pairings. Individual tickets are $125 each. All proceeds support student travel study scholarships and opportunities.

"Gardens of Knowledge and Delight" to be offered in Arezzo, Italy
Walk the historic botanical gardens of Italy, the foundations of natural history and science, with biogeographer Bruce Hoagland. Experience splendid Renaissance villa gardens and Italian cities with landscape architect Bret Betnar.
