VISIT US! IT’S MONTEREY CAR WEEK, AMELIA CONCOURS STYLE!
Jacksonville, FL - Time again for The Amelia to head west for the Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
Bill Warner's Championship-winning Triumph TR-8 edges past a 935 (NOT!) at Laguna Seca Raceway. In Bill's own words, "That Porsche ate my lunch!"
This year “the racers’ concours” will earn its nickname entering the Championship-winning Triumph TR-8 in Race Group 5A (3:50 to 4:10 PM) on Saturday celebrating the 50 th anniversary of IMSA, the International Motor Sports Assn.

“Florida’s First Coast will be well represented at ‘Reunion’ this year,” said Bill Warner, Team Amelia Hero Racer, Founder and Chairman of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. “Ross Bremer of Atlantic Beach will be running his IMSA Ford Escort in the same race and Hurley Haywood -- our 1998 Amelia Honoree -- is the Grand Marshall.”

The ex-Group 44 Trans-Am/IMSA GTO TR-8 will wear traditional Group 44 white-and-green livery. “I promise it’s period correct," said Warner, “I’m a purist."

“We also wish to acknowledge our faithful fans and our occasionally reluctant sponsors,” said Bill Warner, “Especially our founding sponsors...the Social Security Administration and the AAARARP*.”

On August 16 th through the 18 th please stop by our paddock -- just look for the huge Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance banner -- to talk about old cars, old races, old racers, take photos or help us retrieve small parts that have rolled under the TR-8 that we can’t quite reach.
