Dear CASA Supporters,

I am excited to introduce our new CASA Donor Impact newsletter. Thank you for the

impact YOU have made in the lives of abused and neglected children in our community. YOU make it possible for CASA to change the lives of hundreds of children every year and we want to express our gratitude and keep you informed of the impact your generous donations make. The newsletter will be emailed quarterly.

Many of you have been supporting CASA since we first opened our doors in 1989. We enjoyed visiting with all of you who were able to attend our 30^th Anniversary Donor Celebration on June 12.

Your support has enabled us to serve over 18,000 children over the past three decades and we simply could not accomplish so much without YOU.

Your financial support has also made it possible for CASA to complete a two-year Community Campaign to pay off our new building, move all of our programs under one roof to increase our effectiveness and efficiencies, and develop sustainability for the future needs of our community's children. Again, none of this would have happened without YOU. Thank you!

CA SA just wrapped up our 2018-2019 fiscal year on June 30, 2019. I am pleased to share that we provided a CASA advocate for 733 of the abused and neglected children in our community.

With your continued support, we are poised to meet our VISION 2020 to serve every child in need of a CASA by year-end 2020. I am looking forward to the day in the not too distant future when we can announce we are serving 100% of children in need in El Paso and Teller counties!

I hope you find this quarterly newsletter filled with valuable information and gratitude. I can assure you that your generosity continues to make a huge impact on the children in this community, just as it has for the last 30 years. Did You Know?

Donations to CASA of the Pikes Peak Region are eligible for the Colorado Child Care Tax Credit. The US Department of the Treasury and IRS issued final regulations which apply to charitable contributions made after Aug. 27, 2018 and are effective on Aug. 12, 2019. Please consult your CPA or tax preparer for more information on how this may provide you with additional savings. Read more information.

Sweetest Secret Boutique

CASA launched our Start With One fundraising program to work with small businesses and organizations who want to raise money for CASA. The Start With One model was inspired by The Star Thrower, a story by Loren Eiseley which captures CASA's commitment to helping every child in need. Learn more about the inspiration behind Start With One.

It costs approximately $1,500 to provide an advocate for one child, so Start With One partners set a minimum fundraising goal of $1,500 to donate to CASA at the end of their event. Colleen Rusch at Sweetest Secret Boutique, 129 1/2 North Tejon Street, has agreed to host a fundraiser to benefit CASA this Thursday, July 25. MISSION MOMENT: Brothers, reunited at last!

It wasn't the typical pre-teen drama that kept 11-year-old Keegan on his toes. It was his childhood, engulfed by family violence and substance abuse. When Keegan and his younger brother were removed from their parents' custody for their own safety, they became separated and placed in different foster homes. Although the boys were safe, the separation was difficult. Read about how CASA stepped in to ensure that Keegan and Kyler would be together again at last.
