Stewardship Scripture Reflection
Sixth Sunday of Ordinary Time

“Blessed are you when people hate you,…exclude and insult you, and denounce your name…on account of the Son of Man.” (Luke 6:22)

All of us have been in situations when someone has made a negative comment or joke about God or our Catholic faith. How did you respond? Did you stay silent or pretend to go along with the crowd because you didn’t want to cause waves and then, later, you felt bad? Know that God is with you all the time, the Holy Spirit will put the right words in your mouth. Pray for the strength and courage to proclaim our faith to others, especially during uncomfortable situations.

Arch Annual Appeal 2019

Serving over 1,000,000 Catholics, the mission of the Archdiocese of Atlanta is to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord, and grow all of North Georgia in faith, hope, love, and service to others. Together, we are God’s hands and feet, sharing God’s compassion and mercy, and demonstrating that “Go, therefore, and make disciples.”

Your gift to the 2019 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal helps makes it possible by supporting the ministerial, outreach, education, formation and discipleship work of the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

Please give prayerful consideration to your level of support to help fund the essential ministries and services supported by the Appeal. Next weekend, we will hear a recorded message from Archbishop Gregory about the Appeal and everyone who has not yet make a gift to the Appeal will have the opportunity during our in-pew process. Please be prepared next week to make a pledge to the 2019 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal.

To learn more about the appeal, and to donate online, visit appeal.archatl.com

Would you like to donate and dedicate the altar flowers for a week?

It's easy to do and a beautiful way to remember a loved one, offer a special intention or a thanksgiving for a special grace, and celebrate anniversaries and birthdays. Your donation can do all that and beautify the Church too.
Here's how it works:
Flowers are used during weekend Masses and remain on the altar all week.
Dedications for Altar flowers will be listed in the Church Bulletin.
Donations for the flowers are tax deductible.

You can donate for any or all of the following:
Altar, Pedestals, St. Joseph, Blessed Mother.
Monthly Intention 2: RCIA
Prayer Petition (last two weeks):   In our journey as a faith-filled community during our Year of Prayer, let us pray for all those in RCIA who are drawn to accept the Catholic faith. Let us pray to the Lord.

COKAS CUP GOLF TOURNAMENT
APRIL 15, 2019

The “Giving Back to the Community” Golf Tournament held by Christ Our King and Savior Church is set for April 15, 2019 at Harbor Club on Lake Oconee. The 18 hole tournament is a scramble format. Players will be competing for the COKAS Cup Challenge sponsored by BankSouth.

Last year’s golf tournament raised over $32,200 for Community Outreach Programs for Greene, Putnam, and Hancock Counties. Plans are underway for an exciting and fun day of golf at Harbor Club with the opportunity to win valuable prizes.

We are looking for single, doubles, and foursome ladies, men and couples golfers. The tournament committee will be glad to assign golfers to teams. For details and registration, go on-line to cokas.org. or call Mark Holihan (770) 403-5702.

Sponsors are also needed. For as little as $200, a sign with the family name will be placed on the various holes, just like in the Masters tournament. Please consider being a valued sponsor as well.
