A LETTER FROM JOHN DAVID (JD)

We had SO much fun at our Senior Camper vs. Junior Counselor softball game! Which camper is yours?! JCs won by two! Go Team CSM!

Dear Friends and Family  of  Camp Sancta Maria,
Greetings from beautiful Gaylord!

As we write this, we're in the midst of Mini Camp E (a one-week boys' camp) and Session 3 of our two-week boys' camps, and the campers are having a great time!

Thanks to your support and prayers, Summer 2019 has been filled with lots of fun and many blessings!

We asked our campers about some of their favorite things to do at Camp--see their answers in the photos that follow!   We hope these photos bring a smile to your face and warm your heart, knowing the part you play in the campers' memorable time at CSM.

The excitement and adventure, the opportunities for faith-building, and the lifetime memories these kids experience at CSM are only possible because of your prayers, your hard work as a volunteer, and your financial support! Thank you!
There is still time to register your child for our remaining 2019 Boys' sessions--including Mini Camps F & G, Horse Camp, and Ropes Adventure Camp. (Sorry, our August Girls' Camp and Parent & Child Weekends are sold out.)  Please keep us in mind when speaking with friends, co-workers, and neighbors for their kids to join us, as well. Word of mouth from a happy CSM parent is the best marketing! For more information or to register, visit our website by clicking here:   CSM WEBSITE
We can't thank you enough for all you do for CSM! We are deeply grateful for your support.  Thank you, and God bless you.

Sincerely,
John David Kuhar
Executive Director
YOU HELP BUILD CHERISHED MEMORIES AT CSM!
Welcome to Marshmallow World! Their mission: work as a team to build the tallest tower possible out of uncooked spaghetti and--you guessed it--lots and lots of MARSHMALLOWS! (Don't worry--we saved plenty of marshmallows for s'mores around the campfire!)
The June Girls' campers had a blast hanging out, praying together, and making new friends! We can't wait for the next group of girl campers to join us in August!
It was such a blessing to hear so many strong and beautiful voices fill the Chapel during our June Father & Son Weekend! The kids tell us how much they appreciate their time in the Chapel, both during Mass and the Night Prayer service.
These Junior campers loved learning to make paper airplanes fly! Their feet may be on the ground, but their imaginations are soaring through the sky! Whoosh!
Check out these campers who worked as a team while learning to build a shelter! They sure are proud of their accomplishment, and we are, too!
Horseback riding is a perpetual favorite activity for CSM campers, along with getting to know our amazing counselors!
Whether on the beach or in a canoe, splashing around in the water is always a popular adventure for our campers!
Who's ready for Baked Alaska? This delicious treat is another long-time tradition cherished by CSM campers! Yum!  Save some for us, Wally!

THANK YOU, FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF CSM!
Seeking shelter from the sun while
taking a break on the target range!

Thank you, friends and family of CSM, for making a difference in the lives of so many kids by helping to provide an opportunity of faith and fun! It is only with your support that together we make this happen!

Won't you come visit us? The invitation remains open for you to come experience Christ this summer at CSM, and see first-hand what your prayers, your volunteering, and your financial support have made possible for so many children.  Just let us know when you plan to visit so we can be sure we have staff available to greet you and give you a tour.

Thank you to all who have been praying for our staff, our campers and their families. Please keep us on your prayer list through the rest of the summer, and know that you are in our prayers, as well.

Thank you also for your financial support.

We are blessed that you are part of the CSM family!  God bless you.

Sincerely,

John David Kuhar

President, Board of Trustees
CSM is held in a trust governed by an independent Board of Trustees. While the Archdiocese of Detroit had generously donated the services of one its priests for decades, they are not responsible for CSM financially. This means that we are responsible to secure our own funding to advance the mission that has been passed down to us since our founding in 1933. To continue this essential work, we need your help. Are you feeling called to donate? Thank you for your prayerful consideration!
