Library Building Committee Update

Youth Negro Baseball Leagues

In 2020, the United States celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Negro Baseball Leagues. This year, BPL is celebrating that centennial with focused programming and a partnership with the Bloomfield Public Schools. On Fridays in May, we will be hosting a series of virtual programs with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (nlbm.com) located in Kansas City, Missouri - bringing a variety of unique information about the Negro Leagues and the players to children and families in our community. Chair Pilates & Toning

Come join Jeff Shealey for chair pilates and toning. Pilates is designed to strengthen core and abdominal muscles, which results in improving your entire body, making daily tasks easier. You will need 2-3 lb. weights, a medicine ball, and resistance bands. Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Grades 3-6

Join us for a program presented by Ray Doswell of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Ray will discuss famous players and the history of baseball. He will also share the story of Testing the Ice by Sharon Robinson (Jackie Robinson's daughter). Q&A at the end. For grades 3-6.
