This year, Kirk Sherman represented TeamSmile in the BMA Foundation's Dance and Dine with the Stars event. He helped raised more than $50,000 and won Best Perfomer at this prestigious annual event. Bravo to Kirk Sherman and his partner Morgan McCool. Watch the Video The 2nd Annual TeamSmile Golf Classic in Memory of Ted Reese was held at The National Golf Club in Parkville, MO on May 20. Thank you to our golf committee, all of our sponsors (especially our presenting sponsor North Kansas City Dental), the celebrities, the people that donated and bought auction items, and all of those that had foursomes in the event. Meet Chris Peterson Equipment Manager and IT Specialist

Chris has served as one of our equipment managers since April of 2018 with his first program being Sporting KC. Chris participates in equipment inventory and it's securement during transportation. He is also in charge of the set up and break down of equipment at TeamSmile programs. In the past month, Chris has also taken on another important role for TeamSmile. He is now our IT Specialist. His duties include configuring and maintaining computer hardware, servers, and dental equipment. "I like to help bring smiles to children. It gives me great joy to know I have helped kids who otherwise would not have had access to dental care." -Chris Peterson When Chris is not travelling the country he enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his family. Volunteer Spotlight

Tim McKenna Tim came across TeamSmile through one of our social media outlets and saw a post of our mascot Chompers. He has been a mascot performer for various organizations for 15 years. Tim reached out to us about bringing Chompers to life for the Pittsburgh Pirates program. He was an awesome "Chompers" and the kids loved it! Tim was super impressed with our dental outreach work that he actually drove to our Cleveland Indians program a month later. TeamSmile greatly appreciates Tim's dedication in making kids smile as well as believing in our mission. Our programs are successful because of volunteers like him. "Just wanted to say "Thanks!" for letting me perform as Chompers today in Pittsburgh! I had such an awesome time, and it was so much fun seeing the smiles on everyone's faces! Today was one of the best and personally fulfilling events I've ever had the pleasure of doing.
