Dear Parents and Students:
In reflecting upon our school’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, it has become apparent that the magnitude of this crisis created monumental challenges that required an improvise, adapt, and overcome mentality. By design, God has made us an innovative people, and we have developed new processes and competencies during this experience, most notably in online education. This experience will undoubtedly strengthen our integration of technology in the classroom and across all areas of our school’s operations as we move forward.
Medical experts and government leaders are consistent in their warnings that we must take active, preventative measures as our country begins to “reopen” to safeguard our health and safety, and they have cautioned us that a resurgence of the virus in some areas this fall is possible. Please know we are already looking at our school’s policies and procedures, resources, facilities, services, and personnel as they relate to the health and safety of our students, their families, and our employees. This pandemic has challenged us to think in new ways and to adapt our operations as we proceed, undeterred, to gradually reopen our campus in the weeks ahead as state and local authorities allow. There will be new and heightened hygienic standards in place on campus as we gradually welcome our students and employees back. One of several changes includes adding a registered nurse to our school’s staff.
Prince provides an important community nexus and support structure. For students, our school offers an opportunity to learn in a physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually safe environment with small class sizes, creative outlets, athletics, student leadership opportunities, and more. Our faculty and staff remain dedicated to creating solutions that will continue to embrace and grow our school’s sense of community amidst today’s new challenges of social distancing and heightened health and safety awareness. Thank you, Prince families, for remaining on course as we move closer towards the finish line of an atypical school year.
With warm regards and in His service,
