Prepare for an exciting and successful spring semester with upcoming deadlines, opportunities, and events.

Students preparing to graduate in spring 2020 should apply to graduate by February 28th. Schedule an appointment with your advisor as soon as possible to review your degree requirements and ensure you are ready to graduate as planned.
College of Science Scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year are available until February 28, 2020. Review eligibility requirements and apply online.

Departmental scholarships are available and administered at the departmental level. Meet with your advisor to determine which opportunities you are eligible for. Biology, Mathematics, and Statistics scholarships are available through USU's Awardspring system.

Awardspring scholarships are available through March 2020, and all USU students should complete the Awardspring Scholarship Application.
All full-time students with a cumulative GPA above 2.75 are invited to run for office in the Utah State University Student Association (USUSA) . USU student body officers have the opportunity to advocate for students, serve the community, and gain valuable leadership experience. Aggie Scientists have a long-standing tradition of succeeding as student leaders, and we encourage you to run for office.

Interested students must declare their candidacy by 4:30 pm on January 17th, 2020.

URCO
Completed proposals for USU's Summer 2019 Undergraduate Research & Creative Opportunities (URCO) Grant are due Feb. 15. Learn more at research.usu.edu/urco/ .

Peak Summer Research Fellowship
Completed proposals for the new Peak Summer Research Fellowship are due Feb. 15. Learn more at research.usu.edu/peakfellows/ .

College of Science Minigrants
The College of Science awards minigrants to undergraduate researchers in the departments of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Computer Science, Geosciences, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics each year. The 2020 minigrant application will be available in mid-February, so begin talking with your faculty research mentor about the minigrant application process .

Summer Jobs Fair
Wednesday, January 22 - 10 am to 3 pm - TSC International Lounges (2nd Floor)
Students looking for summer jobs should attend the Summer Jobs Fair . Employers at this fair will have wide-ranging opportunities.

Spring Career Fair
Tuesday, February 4 - 10 am to 3 pm - TSC 2nd Floor
This fair is well-suited for students interested in careers after graduation or making connections with companies.

Spring STEM Career Fair
Wednesday, February 12 - 3 pm to 7 pm - TSC Ballroom
Students interested in STEM careers are encouraged to attend this fair . Employers will be searching for students to serve in technical and STEM-related roles.
Science Unwrapped’s Food For Thought Series features guest speaker Ron Munger on Friday, January 17, 2020 in ESLC 130 at 7 pm. Ron Munger is a nutritional epidemiologist in the USU Department of Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Sciences, and his talk will provide insight into healthy diets and our evolutionary past.
