The Road Less Traveled
Many years ago, during my two-year residency leading up to ordination, I went to the beach. That may not sound like much to report, but it was significant. You see, I am not a beach person. I go from time to time because my kids like it, but I've never cared for it. I'll take a lake or a river any day of the week. But I went - and went by myself...

Epiphany Prison Ministry
February 15th-17th, Brownwood, TX

Epiphany Ministry volunteers go into our juvenile prisons to share the love of Jesus Christ with incarcerated youth. Here's how you can help:
* Sign up at the Connection Center to be part of the prayer chain, to pray for the girls who will attend
* Purchase a meal ticket for only $5.00. Each ticket will provide a lunch to an incarcerated teenager

Thank you for your support of these young souls!
Pancake Dinner
Sunday, February 23rd, starting at 11:00am

Join us in the Fellowship Hall for our Student Ministry's mission trip fundraiser. We will have all you can eat pancakes and sausage or bacon. Money raised from this lunch will support our students on their summer mission trips to Arkansas and East Texas.
Family Nerf Wars!
Sunday, March 8th, 2:00pm

This is an event for all families of AUMC and their friends! Please RSVP to Teresa ASAP so we can be sure to accommodate all interested families! Cost will be $5/person with a max of $25/family.
Come Play!
You are needed as a nursery volunteer! As a nursery volunteer you provide care and play for children 4 years-old and under on Sunday mornings. This can be a one hour once/month commitment so you still have time for Sunday school and worship. Please contact Teresa Chisum for more information.
Thank You!
Thank you for your January donations.  Because of your generosity, our Manna Room helped 46 families during the month of January! Thank you for helping feed our neighbors in Parker County.
Bob Would be Proud!
Another 11 coats were donated last week.  That brings the grand total to 250 coats collected and delivered to shelters in Fort Worth.  Thank you AUMC for your generosity, for being the hands and feet of Christ!
Pledge Cards Available
If you haven't returned your 2020 pledge card they are still available at the Connection Center in the Narthex.
Are you taking advantage of electronic giving?
When we join the church, we pledge to support the life and ministry of the church with our financial gifts. That can get complicated on those weeks when we can't be here as the offering plate comes around. But through electronic giving, you remain faithful to your membership vows, even on those weeks when life takes you elsewhere. It's easy. It's safe. And it benefits both you and your church family. Setting it up is easy and only takes a few minutes. Contact Shari Birchell  to set up an automatic transfer from your checking account. Or go to Aledo UMC to use your credit or debit card.
