Dear Trinity Church,
I want to thank our youth who hosted Trinity’s Table last night to raise funds for the
Appalachia Service Project
! ASP is a home building mission trip to make homes warmer, safer, and drier for communities in Appalachia and this summer, we are sending a team of youth and adults from Trinity and Beverley Hills to spend a week in home building missions. We are so proud of our youth who have stepped up to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ and I hope you will join me encouraging them on their journey. Starting this Sunday, they will also be starting a “Stock Sale” to raise additional funds to make ASP a reality. Please visit their table and be in prayer for our youth. There are still a few spaces available for our junior high youth, please contact
Hannah Day Donoghue
if you are interested.
February 2020 marks the 100th anniversary since scouting officially formed a relationship with the Methodist Church. Over the last century, United Methodist congregations have provided home base for more Scouts than any other denomination in America. Trinity Church is part of that great tradition. For the last 70 years, Trinity has chartered a BSA troop 113, as well as hosted several other Girls Scout and Brownie Troops (#4164, #5512, #60041, and #60044). This Sunday we will be celebrating and recognizing Scouting ministries at Trinity. We will have youth from our troops serve as ushers and greeters. We encourage all current and past scouts to wear your uniforms. We look forward to seeing you all Sunday!
We conclude our sermon series on half/truths this Sunday. This week, rather than looking at half/truths, we will look at the whole truth we find in Jesus Christ. The promise we find in our gospel is that God is always with us. God always loves us. And life’s sins and brokenness are not the end of the story for us. These truths never end, never fail, and never gives up. What does it mean to live our lives defined by whole truths rather than half/truths? Our scriptures are
Exodus 34:5-9
,
John 14:1-7
.

The Welcome Statement of Trinity United Methodist Church is:
"Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me." ~ Matthew 10:40
Trinity United Methodist Church is committed to be a congregation of Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors. We believe all people are of sacred worth and dignity as part of God's creation and as demonstrated by the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. As God's love extends to all, we welcome everyone without exception, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, family structure, socio-economic or marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental ability, faith history or life experience. We recognize that we are all different, and those differences make us a stronger community of faith as we worship together to grow in our relationship with God and one another.
The Mission of Trinity United Methodist Church is:
Building a strong Christian community to find, share, and celebrate the love of Christ in our hearts, neighbors and our world.
