Here at the Center for Partnership Studies we are excited to announce the Spring, 2021 issue of the Interdisciplinary Journal of Partnership Studies (IJPS). In the feature article, Guest Editor Susan B. Carter, PhD interviews our very own Sara Saltee, CPS Co-Director, on Reimagining Creativity for a Partnership World.

In the article, Sara emphasizes the vital link between creativity and Partnership Systems: “I had a great time talking with Susan about how multiple creativities, creating as a cyclical process, and creativity as an ethical matrix all support our movement in the direction of Partnership.” Read more

Thirty years after its initial publication, Riane Eisler's The Chalice & the Blade is capturing the attention and enthusiasm of many Spanish readers. Eisler discusses the new edition of El Cáliz y la Espada in an interview with Spanish newspaper El Español, and is interviewed by Lorena G. Maldonado, discussing ancient societies where there was no war and Partnership flourished.

Jason T. Phillips, Ed.D. a retired naval officer who researches transformative partnerships and the power of narrative, first connected with Dr.Eisler when he was working at the U.S. Naval War College. His vision then was "to inform strategic level leaders from around the world how the work of CPS can provide a new approach to understanding international peace and security." Phillips published an article centered on this vision titled Partnership and Narrative in National Security Strategy...

Riane Eisler delivered a keynote talk at the Mother’s Day Amplifying Her Voice “In Moms We Trust” Summit. She was also a speaker for the Marshall Plan for Moms & (Dads)” session, and CPS team members hosted a "Primer to the Social Wealth Index” session and "The Chalice & The Blade: Our History & Our Future” session.

“If we were to include unpaid care giving and household work in our economy, GDP would grow by a whopping 30-50%. If we factor the work of caring for human beings and our planet into the economy, we can literally make care count, and make huge gains in shifting our paradigm from a system of domination toward one of partnership.” – Partnerism and parent advocate Kate O’Rourke

This month, Licia Rando joined Robyn Baker in a Forward Thinking Friday Facebook video conversation about how to explore more caring and connected relationships with children. Licia Rando is a social worker and child therapist whose Caring and Connected Parenting Guide is a central component of the CPS’ platform for a more partnership-oriented world.

As is the case in much of Riane’s work, this recent Kosmos article empowers its reader to transform their spiritual teachings and journey; it contains clear steps that can be taken to “leave behind the domination part of our religious heritage and strengthen the partnership spirituality and morality we so urgently need.”

The Partnerism Movement is a CPS initiative to accelerate the shift from Domination to Partnership Systems. We start with a caring economics of Partnerism, an economic system that, unlike Capitalism and Socialism, values and rewards caring for one another, nature, and our collective future. We invite you to join the Partnerism Movement.
