. Some call it gypsy
jazz, gypsy swing, or jazz manouche. This time we're calling it by another one of its names, hot club jazz, and chose the title "La
Pompe" which is when r
hythm guitar in this genre uses a special form of strumming known as "la pompe"
, i.e. "the pump".
These guitar and violin/fiddle focused track
s are
timeless, and are evocative of good wine, good books, and good times. In his second
volume of original tunes for Black Label, Lee Barbour's meticulous guitar playing on "La Pompe" will add richness and realness to any
medium and any story you wish to tell.

Lee Barbour is producing the Homeless to Hope Benefit Telethon, Friday May 8th, to raise money for Charleston's homeless community, which we u
nderstand will feature a pretty epic version of Amazing Grace, amongst MANY other musical talents from the Charleston area.
With the financial impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the need for Homeless to Hope Fund will continue to grow.
