The Greater Crisfield Action Coalition has been identifying funding for a Seafood Workers Mural. The mural would feature a range of activities related to Crisfield’s seafood heritage, including boats unloading seafood. The center feature of this mural would be the African American women picking crabs. The project is co-coordinated by Darlene Taylor and Eric Banks, who both worked in the seafood industry at times in their youth.

Artist Michael Rosato has been identified for this project and will be participating in the Feb 10th meeting. Michael Rosato specializes in designing and painting large-scale murals for public and private spaces and is the artist for the well-known Harriet Tubman murals in Cambridge.
