Florida is now in Phase 3 of Reopening. Pinellas' mask mandate is still in effect. City facilities will reopen on October 5th. This includes utility bill and traffic citation payment offices, as well as: Recreation Centers Gyms and fitness centers will open and room rentals will be available. Classes and programming will resume at a later date. Each center will have their own opening plan and COVID-19 mitigation procedures. Libraries Libraries will reopen with limited hours. Services like computer access, curbside pickup, and book browsing will differ among library locations. On-site programming, meeting rooms and children's play areas will resume at a later date. Events will resume Event organizers will be required to comply with CDC guidelines and local health authorities when hosting. Events ranging from the Grand Prix to a wedding in a city park will return to their standard permitting and approval processes.

Last Call for the 2020 Census! The Census Bureau will continue the nationwide count through the original deadline of October 31. Pinellas County's current self-response rate is 66.4%, but there is still one more month to make sure you, your friends and family are counted. It is estimated that Florida lost around $950 in federal funds for each person not counted in the 2010 Census, totaling around $20 billion in losses over the past decade. Every response counts!
