The Honorable Barbara Mikulski

A conversation exploring the state of our political institutions and her legacy of leadership
Known as "Dean of the Senate Women," Barbara Mikulski  served in the U.S. Senate for 30 years and in the U.S. House of Representatives for the preceding 10 years, becoming the longest-serving woman both in the Senate and in Congress. With a background in social work, Mikulski endeavored to pass legislation to protect the most vulnerable members of society and to advance scientific research and democracy around the world.

The prestigious Clifford P. Case Professorship of Public Affairs honors Senator Case's 34 years representing New Jersey in the United States Congress by presenting prominent and respected public servants.
Re-Drawing the Lines: Planning for the Next Decade of Election Reforms
This one-day conference will convene decision-makers, academics, and the community to address the intersections of law and politics at the heart of legislative redistricting, the 2020 U.S. Census, and related election reforms.

CAWP announced that Karine Jean-Pierre will be the 2020  Senator Wynona Lipman Chair in Women's Political Leadership

Jean-Pierre is the chief public affairs officer for MoveOn, a political analyst for NBC and MSNBC, and a lecturer in international and public affairs at Columbia University.

The Lipman Chair was created to honor the legacy of the late state senator Wynona Lipman, the first African American woman in the New Jersey State Senate.
