Hunt Iowa Social

Haven't hunted in a couple of years but would like to get back afield? Never hunted or shot a round of trap but you always wanted to learn more? Come join us for an "open house style" evening of all things hunting and recreational shooting!  Area conservation groups and retailers will be on hand to provide information on ways to get involved in hunting and/or increase your hunting knowledge and skills. This laid-back, family friendly event will also showcase opportunities to get involved in other outdoor recreational pursuits such as shooting sports and angling.   First 150 attendees receive a coupon for a free sandwich and beverage (beer, soda or water) the night of the event.

Attendees that pre-register will be entered into a drawing for prizes awarded the night of the event.

Don't miss out!  Enjoy an evening of learning and having conversations with like-minded individuals!

This event is made possible by the Iowa Wildlife Federation, Iowa DNR, Pheasants Forever, National Wild Turkey Federation, Safari Club International, Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, Izaak Walton League, Delta Waterfowl, Neil Smith Wildlife Refuge, Turn in Poachers of Iowa, Iowa Hunter Education Instructor Association, Blank Park Zoo, Bass Pro Shops, Iowa Trapper's Association, Outdoor's Dan, Fish Iowa, and the Iowa Bowhunter's Association.

Highlights at the Event:

Sensory Safari Trailer - Customized enclosed trailer displays a variety of animals, birds, pelts and horns of common game species from around the world.

Turn in Poacher's Trailer - Customized trailer displaying mounts of fish and wildlife that have been illegally harvested across Iowa.

North Polk Chapter of Pheasants Forever will be giving away koozies to all who sign up to join their email list to learn more information about upcoming hunts, conservation projects and banquets as well as an entry into winning a 20 quart ORCA Pheasants Forever Edition Cooler.

Neil Smith Wildlife Refuge will be giving away prairie plants to individuals in attendance.

Iowa Becoming an Outdoors Woman Program will have a variety of tasty Dutch Oven dessert samples for attendees to try out.
