COVENANT CLASSICAL SCHOOL -  FEBRUARY  NEWSLETTER

INTRODUCING SCOIR

SCOIR is our new college portal and we are super excited to share all of its wonderful features with CCS parents and students. This outstanding program will assist students in managing their college searches and applications, ordering transcripts, requesting teacher recommendations, creating resumes, and completing personality/career inventories. Parent accounts, linked to student accounts, will allow parents to oversee their student's information, as well as complete separate searches and add colleges to their student's portal.

This outstanding program will be rolling out this month with more information on training sessions coming soon. In the meantime, learn more about SCOIR  here (parents) and  here (students). An account has already been created for you so you do not need to create one on your own.
COLLEGE FAIR: FEBRUARY 25

CCS will be hosting a College Fair on Tuesday, February 25, during lunch. All Rhetoric students are encouraged to visit with the college reps and learn about the various opportunities available.

College reps will be giving out tickets to students who interact with them. Students should turn these tickets in to Mrs. Daniels at the end of the fair to be entered into a gift card drawing.

TRAVELING SPRING BREAK? ADD A COLLEGE VISIT TO THE AGENDA!

Spring Break is a wonderful time to visit different colleges while you are traveling on vacation. Use SCOIR to map out colleges on your route and schedule campus tours. Many colleges will even allow you to attend a class if you ask in advance. If you are unable to attend an official tour, walking around the campus may give you a feel for the culture and help you determine if a more in-depth visit is something to consider. Please share your college visit pictures with Mrs. Daniels when you get back.
