Westshore adds more Bicycle Friendly Businesses, including Tampa International Airport
The League of American Bicyclists has honored more than 1,300 Bicycle Friendly Businesses, but never had they selected an airport until Tampa International Airport became the first airport to be named a Bicycle Friendly Business. TPA leads a group of new Westshore businesses including three hotels at Avion Park, and Cigar City Brewing, who achieved a new ranking in 2020.

In 2019, AECOM (Silver) and McKibbon Hospitality (Bronze) were honored by the League. These Westshore Alliance members are among the 59 Tampa Bicycle Friendly Businesses, which is second in the nation. Only Fort Collins, Colo. is ahead (62). FDOT hosting Tampa Interstate Public Hearing on Feb. 25 in Westshore
  The next step in the process to rebuild the Westshore Interchange and I-275 will be February 25 & 27 when the Florida Department of Transportation hosts public hearings on the Tampa Interstate Study (TIS) Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS). The Westshore public hearing will be Tuesday, Feb. 25, 5:00 - 7:30pm at the HCC Dale Mabry Campus Student Services Building (4001 W. Tampa Bay Blvd.). There will be a formal presentation at 6:00pm. Another meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27 at Port Tampa Bay Cruise Terminal #6, also 5:30-7:00pm. The purpose of the public hearings is to allow for public comment on the interstate segments between Westshore and Downtown Tampa. For more information, visit TampaInterstateStudy.com.
Commute Tampa Bay app one-stop shop for commuters
TBARTA has launched the Commute Tampa Bay app as their one stop resource for information to help you improve your commute. The Commute Tampa Bay app makes it easier than ever to find new ways to commute and find carpool, vanpool, and bikepool partners. Logging commute trips earns users points redeemable for coupons and discounts to local restaurants, stores, theaters, and more. Commute Tampa Bay also subsidizes vanpools ($400 subsidy), offers teleworking resources, free employer support (including   Best Workplaces for Commuters application assistance), Emergency Ride Home, and School Car Pool matching.
