Highland Library May 2020
Thanks for subscribing to our newsletter! We hope you're staying safe and well.  Here's what's happening!

In the interests of community health and per the Governor's Executive Order, the library building is closed and will re-open when State of Michigan guidelines safely allow.

The building may be closed, but you can still find lots of books, audiobooks, and more online through your library!  Check out our resources below!

For Teachers: Resources & Continuing Education

Teachers: Are you looking for classes that will satisfy continuing education requirements? Did you know that the Michigan Electronic Library offers those? There are currently two free courses that will help you become more familiar with the online materials that are available to you and your students.
Virtual Preschool Teacher Enrichment
We want you to continue to get the clock hours you need to meet continuing education requirements. We were able to turn our scheduled April 30th Essential Skills for Learning and Life Preschool Teacher Enrichment program to an online program. Look for more to come.

MSU Extension Parenting Hour
Also great for parents of preschoolers, these programs are available through MSU Extension and count for preschool teacher clock hours.  Those interested in attending will have to sign up through MSU by following the link on the library calendar.

Magazines for Kids
Find some quality full-access magazines, perfect for your students.  Arts, sciences, music, animals, reading, writing, and other subjects are all included.
