UPDATE ON FERC'S MINIMUM OFFER PRICE RULE ORDER

Last Monday, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) received a flood of lawsuits from a wide variety of groups, such as public and municipal power groups and environmental groups, potentially affected by the controversial MOPR order.

By the end of last week, almost 60,000  businesses  in Ohio have had loans approved through the U.S. Small Business Administration totaling over $14 billion.

Reopen Details Expected Today

When Gov. Mike DeWine announced on April 16 that he is targeting May 1 – this coming Friday – as the date to reopen business in Ohio, he promised additional details. Those details are expected to be shared today, during the governor’s daily COVID-19 press briefing.

Specifically, we’re expecting to learn today if there will be any limitations as to which types of businesses will be able to reopen, and also what safety protocols will be expected or required of businesses to protect employees and customers. You can watch the governor’s briefing live here .
