A Message from the President

We are BACK!!!!



Hello MSE Detroit Members & Friends,

As you know, with the pandemic, we decided to take a break so that we could all become acclimated to our new work processes and procedures. Little did most of us think back in March that we would be experiencing such a long-term change in our personal and professional lives. Happily, we have all adapted. We sent a survey out a while back and learned that most of us in the sales and marketing profession are working from home and that sadly business for most has been down 60%. MSE Detroit would like to offer our constituents opportunities for professional growth. Let me highlight some of those for you:

  • The website has been redesigned with a very user-friendly approach.
  • Coming soon: Our website will have a career center to give you professional growth opportunities and a job bank. In the months to come we will also be offering a mentorship program.
  • We have instituted Tuesday afternoon programing. Initially, these Zoom or Webinar meetings will be free.
  • Special Offer: Membership for MSE Detroit is free thru December 31, 2020. Sign up HERE.
  • The LinkedIn and Facebook MSE Detroit pages are enhanced and very active.
  • MSE Detroit has established a monthly newsletter to give you the latest up-to-date industry information.
  • MSE Detroit members will have the opportunity to submit press releases for publication in the newsletter.
  • Sponsorship programs are available to support upcoming events.
  • To provide you with an opportunity to get to know your fellow members we will be highlighting at least one member per month.
  • During COVID many of you are looking for resources for equipment and we have developed a link for those products.

Send us your ideas….what else would assist you in this difficult economic time? This is YOUR organization and we know you have a passion for the craft…we just want to give you the fuel for continued success.

Herb Everss
MSE Detroit Founder
Meet Marketing & Sales Executives of Detroit’s Founder, Mr. Herb Everss. Back in 1989, Herb had the idea that marketing and sales professionals in metropolitan Detroit needed to have an organization where they could network with their peers and encourage their passion for their craft. At the time, Herb was the Vice President of Sales for Siemens Automotive and knew that his team (along with other corporations) would greatly benefit by educational programs and networking events that MSE Detroit could offer. His vision created an organization that for over 30 years has successfully enhanced the careers of hundreds of sales and marketing professionals.

Herb is now semi-retired but is a continuing advocate for MSE Detroit. In 1995, MSE Detroit proudly established the annual Herb Everss Executive Leadership award in his honor.

MSED announced membership changes due to COVID-19.  Many corporations and individuals may have experienced financial setbacks due to COVID-19 in 2020. In response, MSED has created tiered membership levels, with the starter membership complimentary from now until the end of 2020. This change is to assist individual members and their corporations.
