IT'S TIME! LET THE BIDDING BEGIN!
Swing into Auuction logo
We are excited to announce that our Swing into A(UU)ction! is going live Saturday—May 22! Starting at noon you can peruse the 100-plus items available to the highest bidder. Our team of 8 dedicated volunteers and more than 65 other friends and congregants have had an amazing time coming together to work on this project—it’s truly community in action. And the best part is, all proceeds from the auction will go to the operating fund, so it’s a win-win opportunity for us all.

So tomorrow, Saturday, step right up and visit www.uuwestport.org/auction to register and put your bids in for a great cause!

“Which Lives Matter?” – Rev. Dr. John Morehouse

ANTI-RACISM RESOLUTION DISCUSSION
FOLLOWING THE SERVICE TODAY
The 8th Principle of Unitarian Universalism Journeying toward spiritual wholeness to build a diverse multicultual beloved community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions
Why does TUCW need an Anti-Racism Resolution? For many years small groups within TUCW have led our racial justice efforts. Because anti-racism informs all that we do at TUCW and is central to our ministries, it is time that confronting anti-racism becomes a congregational effort. Adoption of the Resolution including the 8th Principle is the beginning of committing to anti-racist actions consistent with our UU values. While our 7 Principles are quite broad they do not explicitly address racism or our goal of building a diverse multicultural Beloved Community. The 8th Principle is not only about action but speaks to our faith community’s journey toward spiritual wholeness and fulfilling the promise of living out our UU beliefs.

To read the complete Anti-Racism Resolution click HERE. And join us after the service for a discussion of the resolution that will be voted upon at our June 13 Annual Meeting.
NEXT SUNDAY, MAY 30, 10:00 AM - Virtual and In Person*
“The Memory of Her” – Rev. Dr. John Morehouse
NOTE: During our in-person service, childcare at the church will be provided, so adults can attend the service by themselves. Two volunteers will be at the front entrance to welcome your young ones. As always, children are welcome to join us in the sanctuary, too, with masks (they must be signed up). It would help if we had a children's headcount: email Nate to let us know to expect them.
All children and youth are welcome to join us for our Sunday virtual classes. Just show up on ZOOM! Or, to find out more first, contact Nate Pawelek, our Director of Faith Formation. Information about our programming is always available HERE.
