SHIFT INTO SPRING

The first day of Spring is fast approaching, marking the return of longer days and (hopefully) warmer weather. The March equinox has long been celebrated as a time of rebirth in the Northern Hemisphere. Here we showcase several examples of bringing the outside in to our living environments and reaping the benefits, in any climate.
Getting it Right

Sunrooms are grounded with natural interior materials that are easy to maintain and patina with time. Stone, tile and brick floors are perfect for bringing in plants. Brick veneer walls add warmth and absorb the sunlight. Wood ceilings and floors bring subtle texture. Stone and quartz surfaces are perfect additions as shelves, counters, table tops, and bench surfaces. Simple yet large-scale pendant lighting matches the bold elements of nature.

These spaces easily serve multiple functions, becoming a distinct sitting area, entertainment space, greenhouse, dining area, or office. And in the absence of having a dedicated sunroom, many choose to create the feel of this type of space in an airy kitchen or bath.

Benefits of a Sunroom or Green Space:

  • Passive heating and ventilation
  • Brings in natural light
  • Usable outdoor-feeling space all year
  • Feeling of added luxury
  • Creates the perfect space for plants
  • Boosts your mood

Plato Woodwork, Inc.
Quality Custom Cabinetry Since 1893

Plato Woodwork has earned its reputation as one of America’s finest custom cabinetry manufacturers. The master craftsmen of the Pinske family have owned and actively managed their thriving company in the small Midwestern community of Plato, Minnesota for five generations.
Over a century later, Plato still builds every cabinet as a true original. Designed, built, and finished to your specifications and their exacting standards, they use a deft blend of state-of-the art technology and old-fashioned hands-on craftsmanship to produce American made heirloom quality cabinetry for your home.

Just as importantly, Plato is committed to using domestically sourced materials whenever possible. Though cheaper materials may be available, they feel that if you really want to say your product is “Made in the USA” there should be more to it than just assembling the product in America .

Part of the product family that we at Earth Elements are really excited about is the The Inovae Closet System. ICS is a ready-to-assemble closet solution built around you, providing the flexibility for organizing a walk-in, reach-in or a kid's closet. ICS also works well for organizing pantries, mudrooms, craft and hobby rooms, laundry rooms, toy rooms and garages.
