Novi Police & Fire take on Red Wings alumni
Annual Hockey Challenge takes place tomorrow, 7:45pm, Novi Ice Arena
Come watch some of your favorite former Detroit Red Wings take on members of the Novi Police and Fire Departments at the annual Novi Hockey Challenge tomorrow at 7:45pm at the Novi Ice Arena.

Tickets to the game are $10 and proceeds from the event go to support the Novi Police and Fire Benevolent Association. The non-profit organization supports police officers and firefighters and their families in time of need.

Take advantage of a free car seat safety check
Licensed techs installing/checking seats Saturday, 9-noon, Fire Station #4
There's no reason for your child to be riding improperly in their car seat. Stop by the Novi Fire Station #4 (49375 10 Mile) this Saturday from 9-noon and have your child car seat installed for free.

The installation and check should only take about 25 minutes to complete. No appointment necessary. Please be sure to bring your vehicles owner's manual, car seat owner's manual, and, if possible, the child who will be riding in the seat.

City offices closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Novi Public Library will be open from 10am-9pm on Monday, January 21
City of Novi offices and the Meadowbrook Activity Center will be closed Monday, January 21, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Novi Public Library will be open from 10am-9pm.
Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan stopping in Novi
We will be celebrating our City of Champions at 3pm, Thursday, Jan. 24
The Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan is making a stop in Novi on Thursday, January 24, to help us celebrate our City of Champions at the Team Novi Pep Rally at the Novi Civic Center.

The FREE community event starts around 3pm and includes performances by students from Novi High School and Novi Catholic Central, food, giveaways and more.

More than 20 Detroit Tigers players will also be in attendance, answering questions from the crowd and raffling off prizes. The event will wrap up around 4:30pm.
