Application for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) benefits
is now open in Kansas
May 12, 2020

The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) announced it has begun accepting Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) applications as of today.

PUA is a broad program enacted by the Federal CARES Act that expands access to unemployment, in addition to what state and federal law already pay. This includes those who traditionally are not able to get unemployment (e.g. REALTORS®).

As a reminder, make sure you have already applied for and been denied for regular unemployment insurance benefits.

All PUA applications will be completed online at  http://PUA.GetKansasBenefits.gov.

KDOL is expecting payments to be issued starting May 25.
