What's a Beyblade?
My 9-year-old grandson had a dream. Then he asked me, "Papa, can we have a Beyblade tournament at church?" I said sure....but what is a Beyblade? He told me. We picked a Saturday, and he did the rest. He invited friends and even wrote to the toy company, Hasbro, to see if they would send a free Beyblade for the winner. Impressively, the COO wrote back and sent, not one, but three, Beyblade prizes! The to urnament was a success with 24 kids, parents, and lots of memories. Dreams can become a reality. Dream big. It can bring joy. Solomon wrote ( Proverbs 13:19 ) " It is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them." Jesus told the blind men, “It shall be done to you according to your faith.” ( Matthew 9:29 )

Steve grew up in Argentina, as the son of missionary parents, and accepted Jesus as Lord of his life at age 8 while attending a boarding school in Argentina. Throughout his years of ministry, Steve’s music has been honored with 4 Grammy nominations, 18 No. 1 songs, and 7 Dove Awards, Christian music’s highest honor. With 40 recordings to his credit, including children’s projects and Spanish-language albums, Mr. Green has sold over 3 million albums worldwide.
Celebrating 70 Years
Lakehills Community Church, Lake Elsinore

Lakehills is inviting everyone to an Open House Celebration as they celebrate 70 years of ministry throughout Lake Elsinore and the surrounding area. Established in 1949 as First Baptist Church of Elsinore and now known as LakeHills Community Church, the “church on Grand” has faithfully served the Lord and those in the community. Come visit with past leaders and old friends, and see how God has worked these past seven decades. In the last two years, under the Leadership Board and new Pastor Jonathan Hornkohl, new growth and ministries have developed and more lives have been changed. They now look forward to God's leading for the next 70 years.

In 2015, only eight people were attending the church. They contacted Pacific Church Network, and PCN offered to find a new pastor and help bring health to the church. Today they have three services, total Sunday attendance of about 130, and had a packed house for their Vacation Bible School this summer. PCN offers to be the search team and health builder to all member churches for free. Just ask.

  2. Applications are now being accepted for 2 year-old nursery workers.
  3. Barbara remains in the hospital and needs blood donors for more transfusions. She is also having trouble sleeping and requests tapes of Pastor Nelson’s sermons.
  4. During the absence of our pastor, we enjoyed the rare privilege of hearing a good sermon when J.F. Stubbs supplied our pulpit.
  5. Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days.
  6. The ushers will come forward and take our ties and offerings.
  7. Don’t let worry kill you off – let the church help.
  8. Let us join David and Lisa in the celebration of their wedding and bring their happiness to a conclusion.
