The Office of Global Activities (OGA) is dedicated to connecting MSW students to international social work opportunities through  funding special programs , academic resources, internationalized curriculum, and  arranging faculty and student exchanges  at partner institutions.
Weekly Spotlight
Deadline: Thursday, February 20
Brief Description: Up to $1,000 of grant funding available for 10 students in the School of Social Work who are presenting at the Joint World Conference on Social Work Education and Social   Development, the IFSW Global Social Work Conference, or the International Conference on Sustainable Development. 
Special Note: Applicants for the grant must submit an abstract to a global conference and be accepted to present at one of the conferences.
Global Resource

IFSW is the global body for the social work profession. " The Federation and its national members strive for social justice, human rights and inclusive, sustainable social development through the promotion of social work best practice and engagement in international cooperation." Grant Opportunities

The OGA Event Grant is calling for submissions for Winter 2020. The grant offers up to $125 for School of Social Work students to propose and plan an event with a global theme.

Deadline: Friday, February 14 @ 5 pm EST
Brief Description: CEW+ Fellowships support student travel and research. Awards vary in amount based on proposal merit, budget, and need.  Most CEW+ Fellowships range between $2,000 - $5,000.

Deadline: Saturday, February 15
Brief Description: This opportunity supports University of Michigan students, regardless of citizenship, who are enrolled in a degree program and wish to participate in internships or conduct research abroad. Award amounts are up to $5,000.

Brief Description: This Award provides up to $2,500 funding for selected students to take part in a community service project or civic participation anywhere in the world.
Special Note: Applicants must be pursuing a project related to the field of public health.
Professional Opportunities

Brief Description: The goal of the Fellowship is to support an accomplished University of Michigan undergraduate or graduate student with demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in human rights or Brazilian or Latin American Studies.

Brief Description: These internship opportunities are offered from the Office of the Vice President for Student Life to offer students an opportunity to build their resume, make an impact, and get paid this summer.

Brief Description: The Spectrum Center, the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA), and The Program on Intergroup Relations (IGR) are collectively hiring for a Photographer/Writer Student Lead. 

Deadline: Friday, March 13
Brief Description: This fellowship opportunity is open to University of Michigan graduate and advanced undergraduate students interested in studying human rights in Korea, and is enabled by generous funding from the Social Science Korea Human Rights Forum as well as the International Institute.
