Back To School Night - Monday, August 5th
6th Grade:
4:00pm to 7:30pm
7th - 12th Grade:
5:30pm to 7:30pm

At Back to School Night, students may pick up their schedules, locker assignments, and sign up for clubs/activities. We encourage students to use this time to set up lockers as well. Families will also have the opportunity to visit our used book sale and used uniform sales!
REFRESHMENTS: The Senior Class of 2020 will be selling pizza, ice cream, cookies and drinks at the Back to School! Please visit us in the lunchroom kitchen area to pick up some yummy snacks.
PARKING: The Scottsdale Prep Parking Lot fills quickly however there is overflow parking available at Archway Scottsdale. Please do not park in neighboring businesses. Click HERE for the overflow parking map.

New Student Orientation Reminder
for ALL NEW STUDENTS 6th through 12th grade
Tuesday, August 6th -
8:00am to 12:00pm
- STUDENTS will learn:
- How to get around campus (in 5 minutes or less)
- How to best organize your locker and backpack
- What to wear and what not to wear
- What the Honor Code means
- and much more!
- Be sure to wear your uniform!
- PARENT Information
- Snacks and water will be provided.
- Please drop students off in the back, then park in the front lot and enter through the front lobby. This will be good practice for First Day of School drop-off!

- Attend a short presentation by Ms. Chaney for all new 7th-11th Grade parents at 8:15am in the Theater

High School Class T-shirts are available to order from
July 25 through August 12
- The Senior Class of 2020 is running the sale this year to raise funds for their upcoming senior trip. The cost of the shirts is the same as last year!
- This student-initiated tradition continues to offer our high school students the extra uniform opportunity for a class T-shirt to be worn each Friday during the school year.

All SPA parents please fill out this short online PARENT VOLUNTEER FORM for 2019-2020 even if you have been a dedicated volunteer in the past (for which we thank you!). We ask that this form be filled out annually by all parents so everyone has the opportunity to participate in grade level activities and new interests. Thank you! Together wE Achieve More!

Scottsdale Prep Faculty Highlight
Mrs. Tracy Malcolm is new to Scottsdale Preparatory Academy this year and is joining the team as the ESS Coordinator. Mrs. Malcolm was born in Peru, IL, and then lived in Houston, TX for six years. During her time in Houston, she was a learning specialist at a private international baccalaureate school. She and her family moved to the Phoenix area one year ago, where she became a learning expert teacher, using her knowledge of special education and pedagogy to enhance classroom instruction. She has a master or arts degree in education and a master of science degree in special education. Mrs. Malcolm has been in the teaching profession for over twenty years, and is certified in the states of Illinois, Texas and Arizona. She has taught various subjects, including music, technology and special education. She has received awards for excellence in education from the state of Illinois, along with being recognized by the Illinois State Senate for her work with Veterans. Outside of school, Mrs. Malcolm is an avid cook, enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Malcolm is thrilled to be a part of the SPA Team and looks forward to working not only with the students, but parents and fellow teachers as well.

Used Uniform Sale
The
Used Uniform Sale will begin at 5pm on
Monday, August 5th in the SPA Library.
The sale will remain open through 2pm on Wednesday, August 7th, using our popular self-check out for convenient, anytime shopping.
We are accepting uniform donations all summer during the summer office hours at Scottsdale Prep.

Fingerprinting Information
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will hold a fingerprinting event after the start of the new school year in August. If you would like to secure a Fingerprint Card now, Postalmax in Scottsdale is available to provide information on how to secure a Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Card.
