4 Ways to Show You Care About Your Personal Hygiene
It's that time of year for THE TALK!
Everyone who works with the public needs to prioritize hygiene to give off a good impression. No customer wants to work with a customer who looks disheveled or smells. Look at these 4 things you can do to show that you prioritize good personal hygiene habits.
Wash your body often
Make sure to have a shower or bath every day. Use a wet cloth and soap to clean your skin, use shampoo to wash your hair and apply deodorant. When you work as a handyman professional, you will often sweat due to the physical labor that accompanies the job. This is one reason why it's so important to make sure you bathe daily.
Wash your hands
Your hands will often become dirty when on the job. Aim to keep your hands cleaned to remove dirt and stop the spread of germs. Trim your nails and remove the dirt that may build up underneath them. Your customers will notice that you have clean hands and well-groomed nails.
Wear clean clothes
While it may be tempting to throw on the dirty trousers you wore yesterday - they're going to get dirty again anyway - don't do it. Wear clean clothes to work each day to give off the best impression possible. Wash your dirty clothes with laundry soap before you wear them again. Try to remove stains from the clothes.
Keep your facial hair in check
Beards can keep you warm and make you feel manly, but what happens if they get too long and untidy? People may not think you look as professional, unfortunately. Don't let that happen -- make sure you wash and condition, comb, shape and trim your facial hair regularly. If you look clear and tidy, you can uphold a professional appearance at work.

Are your Customers Able to Find You?

Our search requests continue to increase significantly. The new search engine installed in August was indeed what the doctor ordered. This means more and more folks are browsing our directory listings. However, many of you have not updated your listing in a while. In some cases, customers are having difficulties reaching you because of outdated information in your listing. How do we know this? Some of them are calling ACHP. Makes us wonder how many customers are reluctant to go the extra mile thus contacting someone else with a working or displayed phone number, etc.
To fix this problem:
Log in to your member account and:
- Ensure you have access, if not contact us immediately.
- Click on "My Directory Listings" then "Edit". Ensure your information is up to date.
- Enter a city, state, zip code in the display map. If not, the search engine will not be able to find you by zip code search.

Ensure your email and phone number is correct, etc. Add more unique keywords.
|
