We Need Your Help!

The extreme heat that is hitting the east coast this summer is making it especially dangerous for individuals and families who cannot afford air conditioning for their homes. Currently, we have about two dozen families in dire need of air conditioner units to help battle this heat wave and keep themselves and their little ones cool and out of danger. We kindly ask that you consider donating an air conditioner unit or two to help keep our neighbors in need cool and healthy. Please call Family Promise at 973.998.0820 to make a difference!
Welcome Home, Laurie!
After four months of being a guest in Family Promise's shelter program, Laurie moved into her new home! She exemplifies how hard work, determination, and faith in the program can yield success.

She is excited to begin this promising new chapter in her life where she has a space to call her own, a job, and the freedom
to create a positive path of new possibilities and goals.

Congratulations, Laurie!
Morgan Stanley Lends a Hand!

A big thank you to our friends from Morgan Stanley for assembling snack bags for the Our Promise Drop-in Center. Many guests have been enjoying the treats!

Thank you also for organizing our donations and freshening up the outdoor areas at the Day Center.

You helped us tremendously and we enjoyed having all of you with us for the day!
Thank you First Presbyterian of Succasunna!

Many beautiful planted flowers now decorate the yard at the Day Center thanks to a very hard-working group from First Presbyterian Church, Succasunna!

Thank you also for cleaning and organizing some of our indoor areas as well. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to working and having fun together again!

A Special Resource!

Nothing is Impossible of Sparta, NJ is coming to the rescue to those on the brink of homelessness by providing financial assistance. The nonprofit, comprised of senior partners from McGivney, Kluger & Cook law firm, recently helped a single mom avoid eviction from her home by providing funds to pay an outstanding electricity bill that otherwise would have led to nonpayment of rent, resulting in eviction. The generous gesture prevented a catastrophic event for the single mom and her daughter and helped put them back on track to living independently! Spa Day!

Family Promise shelter guests enjoyed a break from the stress and worries of being in crisis with a day of self-care. Thank you Atelier Spa and Salon , Denville, for providing a fun and relaxing respite for our guests, who thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

What you like most about helping Family Promise: I get great satisfaction out of helping people in need and hearing follow-up stories about how guests are progressing. I also love the structure of Family Promise and how it involves the community. Family Promise helps to fulfill my belief that we are all on this Earth to help each other.

How would your friends describe you: Empathetic, witty, honorable, and a child-like appreciation of fun!

Fun fact: I recently retired! I love the outdoors and love to bike, hike and kayak, but mostly play with my five grandkids.
