UPCOMING DATES & UPDATES
HS Senior Recognition Sunday
We will recognize our graduating high school seniors during the online worship service this Sunday, May 17. We are excited about this important milestone for these students and we pray for God's presence in their lives as they begin a new chapter.
College Graduate Recognition
Congratulations to two Tabernacle students who are graduating from the ranks of higher education. Abby Marie Harris earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Southern University and Daniel Jacob Gilley earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Shorter University.
Darkness To Light
According to our policy, any volunteer who works with minors must complete a child abuse training by August 1. Darkness to Light is now offering online training free through the month of May. This would be the perfect time to take advantage of this great opportunity to receive the training! Click the "training link" button and use the code FLIPTHESWITCH when checking out and learn how to protect our children from sexual abuse. Once the training is complete, please email a copy of your certificate to crystal.gilley@tabernacle.org . For any questions, please contact dana.harman@tabernacle.org .
Envisioning Transformation
Progress continues on implementing the Envisioning Transformation project
with much of the actual construction work well underway. The structural changes depicted in the renderings you’ve seen are nearly complete, although a lot of the finishing work remains to be done. While we don’t expect to complete the project until mid Summer, you will be able to see significant progress if you are able to attend the worship service on Sunday, May 31. In addition to the work underway inside the building, you’ll also see some improvements in the parking lots. Those working on the project, including the project implementation team, our contractor, and staff, have an excellent
working relationship and we look forward to a successful conclusion.
Media Team Volunteers Needed
Due to the generosity of a recent donor, our church will soon install new equipment to begin live streaming our services each Sunday. Live streaming will allow those viewing at home to participate fully on Sunday mornings. We need a few more media team volunteers to operate the new equipment associated with the live stream. If you consider yourself someone who is good with technology, please consider serving in this way. There will be a training session to make sure any who volunteer feel comfortable on the new equipment. For any questions, contact james.kimmel@tabernacle.org .
Cumberland Mission Trip Cancelled
The mission trip to Cumberland, Kentucky that was scheduled for July 5-10 has been cancelled due to COVID-19. We look forward to continuing to partner with Club 180 Ministry in the future.
May 25 - Memorial Day Holiday (office closed)
TBD - Quarterly Church Conference & Church Conference for Student Minister Search Committee

Giving During COVID-19
The ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church continues during this difficult season for our world. Even with an altered meeting schedule, we would like to encourage you to give normal tithes and offerings as God leads. Our office is currently closed to the public. However, a locked safety deposit box has been installed outside the preschool entrance and you may drop your gift in the box. You may also mail in your gift, give online by clicking the button below, or text "tabernacle150" to 73256.

Tabernacle PPP Loan
Tabernacle Baptist Church applied for and received a PPP loan from the federal government as part of the COVID-19 paycheck protection program. These funds will help our church cover payroll expenses through this uncertain time, but we are praying that you continue to give so that we remain financially healthy. The entire balance of the loan is reflected in our financial plan numbers now, but those funds are earmarked exclusively for church payroll expenses.
