Oz Park Safety Walk
Francis Parker Vaccine Clinic For ALL
Dear Neighbors,

In light of the incident that occurred in Oz Park on Tuesday evening, the 18th District and my office are hosting a safety walk in Oz Park to discuss safety issues in the area and what we can do to assist police.

The case is proceeding against the juvenile offender who was arrested with a gun shortly after the incident. He is in custody, and at my request to the State's Attorney, an additional order was issued that prohibits the offender from the area around Oz Park and Lincoln Park High School in the event that he is later released from custody.

Unfortunately, several of our neighbors who witnessed the incident refused to cooperate with the police, and the State's Attorney was unable to bring charges for the shooting itself. We strongly believe that providing information when a citizen witnesses a crime is a duty of a citizen, and hope that our neighbors reconsider.
Vaccine Clinic for All
Francis Parker School
2233 N Clark Street
Saturday - Sunday June 5-6
9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

This weekend, our office, Francis Parker School and our vaccinator, Instavaxx will be hosting another vaccination clinic open to all over the age of 12.

This is the perfect opportunity for everyone who hasn't been vaccinated to get a shot at a convenient location - and to get our Ward's fully vaccinated rate up! As of this week, the 60614 and 60610 zip codes are only 51% fully vaccinated, with 62% having gotten at least one dose. That is really not good enough.

The next clinic will be this weekend, June 5 and 6. This clinic to all ages, with no appointments required for new patients. This is a very convenient location. Parking is surprisingly easy. Need a ride? Contact us by email or phone at 773-348-9500.

Those who received first doses last weekend will return for their second doses.

Please note the following:

  • A parent or guardian has to accompany any patient under 18 years old
  • If you are coming without an appointment, please bring your insurance card if you have one. Insurance is not required and vaccines are free.
  • Masks are mandatory

We strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible, so that everyone can enjoy the summer and the upcoming school year.
