Around the Square                                        August  2019

There's lots of summer still left to savor in Kennett Square! And what better way to kick off the month of August this week than by dining on State Street during the "bonus" First Thursday dining event? Enjoy Kennett Square's diverse and award-winning restaurants, including Verbena BYOB, recently named Best New American cuisine in Best of Philly 2019.

On Friday, August 2nd, stock up on the bounty of fresh, local produce at the Kennett Square Farmers Market, browse the First Friday Flea Market for fun and unusual finds, and enjoy the family-friendly fun of the annual Murder Mystery Art Stroll, with suspects from the Kennett Amateur Theatrical Society stationed throughout town.

This month we're also celebrating Kennett Square being named "Best of Philly 2019 Suburban Shopping Destination" by Philadelphia magazine. Support all of our local businesses, including Clean Slate Goods in their new, larger location at 103 West State Street.

The month's celebrations continue on August 15th with Third Thursday dining and the gala opening of Square Pear Gallery's new show, "The Joy of Summer."

As you enjoy suburban Philadelphia's Best Shopping Destination, remember to #loveitlikealocal and support our independent, locally owned small businesses and restaurants. #shopKSQ #deliciousKSQ

See you around the Square.
