THE TERI ROIGER QUARTET
performing the Billie Holiday & Lester Young Song Fest

The Moffat Library of Washingtonville, in association with the 10th 
Annual Hudson Valley Jazz Festival, is pleased to present an afternoon 
of  jazz with a Billie Holiday & Lester Young Song Fest performed by 
the Teri Roiger Quartet.

Teri Roiger is a world-class jazz vocalist. She will be performing with noted saxophonist, George Deleon, bassist, John Menegon and pianist, Pete Levin. 

Vocalist Billie Holiday AKA "Lady Day" and sax player Lester Young, also known as "Prez," were two jazz greats and will be honored in song by this group of distinguished musicians.

A Museum Trip to Connecticut
Wednesday, August 14th @ 8:30 AM

Please join the Friends of the Moffat Library when they visit the Mark Twain House & Museum and the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

A West Point motor coach will depart from St. Mary's Church (42 Goshen Ave., Washingtonville, N.Y.) at 8:30 AM, arriving @ 10:30 AM.

Guided tours of both homes and museum centers will be provided and a choice of boxed lunch is included. The coach will depart at 3:00 PM for the return to Washingtonville.

The all-inclusive cost is $66.00/person.

Summer Reading Continues!
Along with all our summer reading programs, our summer readers, in all four categories (pre-school, kids, tweens/teens & adults) are using the summer reading website to log their reading.
 
To date, we have some pretty impressive reading statistics, from all those who registered and are logging their reading in either books or minutes read.
 
Pre-school Reading Challenge
41 registrants have read 794 titles!
 
Kid's Reading Challenge
68 registrants have read 278 titles!
 
Tween/Teen Reading Challenge
23 registrants have read 96 titles!
 
Adult Reading Challenge
35 adults have read 721 titles!
