Dear Members and Friends,

Happy New Year! We have some great classes coming up for the Winter and Spring terms, plus a variety of wonderful events to keep you out of trouble during these cold months - something for everyone.

Schoodic Getaway Returns!
March 1 & 2, 2020

After a hiatus last season, the ASC Schoodic Getaway returns this winter, March 1-2. We will stay at the Schoodic Education and Research Center, located near Schoodic Point, a spectacular section of Acadia National Park. Specialists from the Schoodic Institute (SI) will provide two days of programs for us. We'll be housed in comfortable four-bedroom apartments (private rooms) and have our meals at the lovely Schooner Commons.

Participants will arrive before lunchtime on Sunday to check in. After lunch, Sarah Hooper, SI Education Specialist, will lead us on a walk in the new Schoodic Woods section of the Park. Later in the afternoon, we'll enjoy a wine and cheese party, then dinner, stargazing, and a movie night. Monday morning, after breakfast, we'll get right to work preparing a lunch of outdoor dutch oven specialties under the direction of Rick Henion. After lunch, SI ornithologist Seth Benz will take us out to observe some winter pelagic birds.

The cost for the Getaway is $165 per person, which includes lodging, meals, and all programming. This year, we have the option of lodging for a limited number at the VIP apartments at Rockefeller Hall, for an additional cost.

Sign up soon! There are a limited number of spaces available for this program.

For more information, email learn@acadiaseniorcollege.org or call 207-288-9500. A $50 deposit is required to reserve your place.
