Welcome Back

I hope everyone has enjoyed the summer and is looking forward to a meaningful 2019/2020 school year.  As we approach our first day of school on Monday, August 19, please know that we are here to support and help with the transition back to school.  If you need anything, please  do not  hesitate to contact me with any questions.  Please note that the main office will remain in the computer labs off of the atrium until Friday, August 9.  We tentatively plan to move back into the newly renovated main office/entrance way on Monday, August 12.  Additionally, the school will be closed to students and guests between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM on Thursday, August 15 and Friday, August 16 due to meetings and professional development.  If you have not picked up your schedule by the 15th, please know that you will be able to get it in the main office, but the rest of the building will be closed.  Lastly, you can still walk your student's schedule on the 15th and 16th between the hours of 3:30 PM and 8:00 PM.

Thanks,
Jeff

1:1 Chromebook Initiative
All 6th through 8th grade students will be assigned a Chromebook for the 2019/2020 school year.  The 5th grade students will continue to have access to devices through class Chromebook carts.  Only parents of 6th grade students need to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, August 8 at 6:00 PM in the Gold Gym regarding our 1:1 Chromebook initiative.  Devices will be assigned and distributed during this meeting, but please know that packets and schedules will not be passed out until August 13, which is a change from our original plan communicated in the 4th quarter report card envelope.  Parents of 7th and 8th grade students do not need to attend this meeting as those students will  receive their Chromebook during the first week of school.  Parents of 6th grade students should be receiving a mailer with information pertaining to the 1:1 initiative in the coming days.  Please click here for this information.
