July 31, 2019

The mission of Trinity Church is to share Christ's love and grace in a vibrant community whose joyful spirit empowers people to do God's work.

SENIOR WARDEN'S NOTES
While we are currently without a permanent rector, Trinity is certainly not without leadership. We thank Reverends Bambi and David and Chaplain Jere for their worship leadership and the members of the Vestry for their strong involvement in the on-going life of Trinity.

Vestry members are vitally involved in the life of Trinity, besides their membership on Vestry. At least three are ushers; four are lectors, litanists, or lead other parts of our worship and study; one is a choir member; two are acolytes; two are involved with campus ministry; one is part of the Healing Prayer team; four are keeping us up-to-date on technology; five belong to the Brotherhood of St. Andrew and one to Daughters of the King; two are active in the outreach programs of the church such as food pantry, Micah breakfast, and Blessings in a Backpack; three lead pastoral care activities, including support groups; four are Eucharistic Ministers and one delivers home communion; one represents us on Interfaith Community Council-School Dressing Days; and five are active in leadership and support of GEMS. When we discuss parish life, Vestry members have first-hand experience with the programs and services.

The Search Committee members are equally well-represented in the work of the parish. This involvement will prepare them well for discussions with candidates to become rector.

We thank everyone for their continued commitment to our parish life.

TRINITY NEWS
Who will feed 120 children?

Trinity's goal again this year is to feed 120 students attending Rocky Run Elementary School. Please consider sponsoring a child at $100.00 for the 38 week school year or $50.00 for half of the school year. The sign up sheets are located on the main church door in the entryway and the bulletin board in Barber Hall. Your check can be written out to Trinity Episcopal Church and in the memo line write Blessings in a Backpack or BIB donation. The check can be put in the collection plate, given to Susan McSpadden or mailed to the church. Stafford County Schools begin early on August 12th and will finish early on May 29, 2020, so as a result of the change in the school year we will begin delivering food the second week in September.

Email Susan McSpadden or call 540-899-0696 with any questions.
Thank you for your continued support of this Ministry.
