Please join us for in-person worship at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. You may also join us on Zoom for Morning Prayer at 9:00 a.m. As I am provided information from the Diocese of Chicago regarding the COVID restrictions I will share it with you. We are expected to have some more changes as the Governor moves us into a new phase. I am grateful to Del Smith who will be playing the piano for us this week at our 10:30 a.m. service.
Please Mark your Calendar for Sunday May 23, which is the Feast of Pentecost. We are asking everyone to wear red that day as we celebrate the birthday of the church, and renew our baptismal vows at both the 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. services.
On Sunday May 30, which is Memorial Day weekend, please remember we will have only one in- person service at 9:00 a.m. There is no Zoom that day.
As another school year comes to a close we are aware that we have a number of young people who are graduating. If you have a child, teenager, grandchild, niece or nephew, or someone else in your family who is graduating, you may send that information to Amy Noe in the office. We will be highlighting the accomplishments of our young people in the next newsletter.
See you all on Sunday,

May 23 and 30 Service Information
Sunday, May 23, is the Feast of Pentecost, which marks the coming of the Holy Spirit and the Birthday of the church in the world. We will be renewing our baptismal vows at both the 8:00 and 10:30 am services. In celebration, everyone is encouraged to wear red.
Do you speak another language in addition to English? Then we could use your help at the 10:30 a.m. Pentecost service! As you may or may not know we have a wonderful Pentecost tradition here at St. Mary’s. The Pentecost reading of the Acts of the Apostles 2:1-21 is read in several different languages simultaneously, to illustrate the scripture passage: “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.” (Acts 2:4)
In the past we’ve had speakers in Spanish, French, Italian, Latin, German, Greek, Norwegian, and even Russian! Any language is welcome!!!! If you are interested, please contact Amy in the office. She will get you a copy of the reading in your preferred language, or you may use your own foreign-language Bible if you have one.
On Sunday, May 30, (Trinity Sunday; Memorial Day weekend) we will have only ONE IN-PERSON SERVICE, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The 9:00 a.m. Zoom Morning Prayer will NOT be held on this day. Please make a note of the changes for this day.
Share Your Graduate News
Parents/Grandparents: If there is about to be a new graduate in your family, we’d love to share the good news! Please let us know all about your graduate (Junior High, High School, College, Grad School), the school they’re graduating from, and the school (or job) that will be the next step. You may include other information as well, such as scholarships or awards received. A simple write-up can be submitted to the Parish Office.
We will include all of our graduates’ information in next week's newsletter. If you have a photo of your graduate that you’d like to share, please send that to the office as well. Thanks!

Adult Inquirers’ Classes
The Adult Inquirers’ class prepares adults who wish to be Confirmed or Received into the Episcopal Church. (Those adults who have been confirmed in the Roman Catholic or ELCA Lutheran faiths, do not need to be re-confirmed, but are “received” into the Episcopal Church by the Bishop.) This class is open to any adult wishing to learn more about the Episcopal Church, even if they do NOT wish to be confirmed or received. The classes promise to be engaging, fun, and informative. Please let Fran know if you are interested or have any questions. More details regarding the schedule of classes will be posted as the information becomes available.
