Disney's Beauty and the Beast Tickets and Children's Enchanted Tea Party
By special arrangement with Musical Theatre International, Delone Catholic High School will present Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 16 at 7 p.m., and Sunday , March 17 at 2 p.m. Admission will be payable at the door - $10 for adults and $5 for students and children. Delone students, administration, faculty, and staff will be admitted free with ID.  Tickets can also be purchased in advance by clicking here.  There is a small credit card fee for advance orders. There are no reserved seats.

A Children's Enchanted Tea Party will be held Sunday, March 17 at 11:30 in the Delone Catholic HS cafeteria. Admission will be $8 for ages 12 and up, $5 for ages 3-11, and free for age 3 and under. Reservations can be made by contacting Chrystal Landis,  [email protected], 717-752-7692. Admission to the 2 p.m. show is NOT included in the tea admission price.



2019-20 Course Catalog
The Course Catalog for the 2019-20 school year is available on the school website under Academics and by clicking here. Your students will begin course selection with their guidance counselors shortly. 

Yearbook Orders and Ads for Grads
We are accepting orders for the 2018-19 Delonian Yearbook. The cost for the yearbook is $79 or $85 with a name imprint. Orders MUST be received by Mar. 11, 2019 to guarantee a yearbook. Yearbooks can also be purchased on-line using Herff Jone's website www.YearbookOrderCenter.com and selecting Delone Catholic or using order number 4186 or by submitting this form and payment.
 
Remember, all students are welcome to sell $400 worth of ads to order a FREE yearbook, and advertising forms can be found in the Main Office or by seeing Miss Sneeringer in Room 18. Forms are also available on the school web site ( www.DeloneCatholic.org) under Quick Links/Parents/Delonian Yearbook.

Delone in the Dark for 6th and 7th Grade Students
Delone Catholic High School Student Council will be hosting its annual "Delone in the Dark Nights" for students in sixth and seventh grades. There will be games, food, prizes and the popular scavenger hunt in the dark. The students will be making their own pizza using various toppings. This event is open to any sixth or seventh grade student. Students do not have to attend a Catholic school to participate. We encourage your student to attend and bring their friends. The girls' night will be held on  Friday, March 29 and the boys' night will be held on Friday, April 12. Students are to be dropped off in the lobby using the student parking lot next to the Lawrence B. (Sonny) Sehppard, Jr. Memorial Gynmasium at 6 p.m. and picked up at 10 p.m. Please contact Mrs. Lori Heberling with any questions. 

Freshman Welcome Night (Rescheduled) 
Our second Welcome Night for incoming Freshman students and their parent(s) has been rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria. At this time, you and your student will get important information from our Administrators as well as complete course selection for the upcoming school year. Accepting Admissions for New Students for the 2019-20 School Year
Delone Catholic HS is accepting admission applications for new students for the upcoming school year. Delone Catholic has much to offer high school students, and we are excited to tell you all about it. We offer personal school tours, Squire shadow days and Welcome Wednesdays from 9 -11 a.m. Please contact  Mrs. Jennifer Hart , Director of Marketing and Admissions to schedule a tour, shadow day or to get more information on our curriculum, programs and services. Prom Dress Code Agreement and Financial Policy
Juniors and Seniors will be receiving the Parent/Student/Guest Dresscode Agreement in homeroom next week. Before signing the agreement, please review with your student and/or their guest the Formal Dances (Prom) Dress Code. You can access this information by clicking here, or by visiting the web site under the Parents Quick Links tab, Policies and Procedures, Dress Code. The completed form is due to the class moderator by April 15.

Senior parents are reminded that all student obligations must be paid in full by April 15 in order for your child to attend prom and participate in senior activities. Please see page 58 in the Student Handbook for further information.

Junior Class Fundraiser - McDonalds's Shakes and Frappe Coupons for $1
Delone Catholic's Junior Class is selling $1 coupons for McDonald's Milkshakes and Frappes. Each junior student has a selling goal of 15 coupons. The coupon is valid until May 31, 2019 and can be redeemed at the following McDonald's locations: Gettysburg, Hanover, Limekiln Rd., Manchester, New Oxford, and Shrewsbury, Pa. Please see a junior student or contact  Mr. John Fournie  to purchase coupons. Coupon orders and payment are due by Mon., Mar. 11. Thank you for your participation. 

8th Grade Algebra II Trignometry Placement Test
8th Grade Students Taking Algebra: Any incoming freshman student who is currently taking an 8th grade Algebra class with an average of 87 percent or higher is invited to take the Algebra II Trigonometry placement test. If the student passes the test with at least a 75 percent, he/she will be eligible to take Algebra II Trigonometry as a freshman when enrolling at Delone Catholic High School. The Algebra II Trigonometry placement test will be given on Saturday, March 30 from 9-10:30 a.m. (snow make-up date is Saturday, April 6) at Delone Catholic High School. Students should report to the main entrance on S. Oxford Avenue between 8:45 and 8:55 a.m.  Students will be given 1 ¼ hour to complete the test and should be picked up by 10:30 a.m.

Career Day Speakers Needed
Delone Catholic's bi-annual Career Day is Tuesday, Mar. 19. We are currently looking for speakers for the following careers:

Architecture
Artist
Interior Design
Photography 

As a speaker, you would have 45 minutes to address students who listed your profession as one of their top three career choices. We would provide you with some talking points to assist you with your presentation. English SAT Prep Course Offered
Spring 2019 SAT Prep Course will take place on April 1, 2, 3 & 8,9, 10 from 3-5 p.m. at Delone Catholic. This six-day course reviews the necessary skills assessed as important to the English portions of the Redesigned SAT including reading comprehension and writing. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the SAT format through sample questions and practice. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend each session and do the homework that is suggested. The Registration Form and the registration fee of $165 are due by March 22.

Henny Noel Memorial Golf Tournament
The 26th-Annual Henny Noel Memorial Golf Tournament is being held on Saturday , June 8 at Cedar Ridge Golf Course, Gettysburg Pa. with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Highlight your business with a sponsorship package or register a foursome for the tournament. Click here for a copy of the registration and sponsorship form.

This golf tournament is named in honor of Henny Noel '46, beloved Delone Catholic Director of Maintenance from 1958-1993. In accordance with the wishes of the Noel family, all proceeds from the tournament are used to provide tuition assistance to families that need it, so that all students can reap the benefits of a Delone Catholic education. Come out and be a part of an ever-improving event that has raised over $75,000 in the past five years!

The deadline for submitting Works of Mercy service hours for graduating seniors is 3 p.m. on March 22, 2019. After this time, the number of uncompleted service hours will double. Intentions for Adoration
Every Friday, the Mary, Queen of Peace Chapel is open for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and our students would like to use that time to pray for your intentions. Please use this form to submit any intentions that you have so that a student can choose an intention to pray for specifically during their time at Adoration. 

SportsLeader Virtue of the Week
One pillar of the SportsLeader program is a weekly virtue that we incorporate into our athletic practices and throughout our school community. Every week, we will share them here to encourage the students to take the virtue into their homes as well!

Our virtue this week is TRUST - The strength to confidently believe in someone regardless of the situation. It is truly a blessing to find a person who is genuinely TRUSTWORTHY. TRUST is one of the building blocks every good team is built on.

Big Bingo Dates Announced
Delone Catholic Athletic Association and the Notre Dame Club of Gettysburg are hosting BIG BINGO on the following Saturdays: February 23, March 30 and April 27, 2019. These popular events are open to the public, payout is $50 per regular game and, with your $15 per ticket donation, include a free roast turkey dinner platter. Raffle for Handcrafted Wooden Benches
The Athletic Association is selling raffle tickets for 2 handcrafted, wooden benches that were made from the wood of the original sideline benches of J.T. Flaherty field. The tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. Two winners will be drawn at the Big Bingo on February 23. You do not need to be present to win. Tickets can be purchased in the school office or by contacting Mrs. Patty Smith at [email protected] (The bench on the bottom converts from a bench to a picnic table.)




Boys' Lacrosse Team 5th Annual Bull Roast
The Delone Catholic High School Boys' Lacrosse Team is hosting their  5th Annual Bull Roast on 
Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 at  The Gotwalt Hall at St. Vincent DePaul Parish in Hanover from 6-10 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. 

Your  $40.00 donation includes various appetizers, pit beef, steamed shrimp, sides, desserts and beverages.

There will be music, door prizes, raffles, jars and a corn-hole tournament.   No one under 21 will be admitted.
