Joanne Sin began her new role as Care and Counseling Center of Georgia’s administrative assistant in April. She’s lived in Atlanta most of her life, and she recently graduated with a BA in psychology from Georgia State University.
Her long-term plans include studying marriage and family therapy, likely in a seminary program. She chose to work at CCCG because “I wanted to be in the thick of it, to really understand what goes on in counseling and behind the scenes,” she said.
In addition to learning more about the world of health insurance, Joanne says this new role has taught her about the value of being kind and nonjudgmental every day. “You can’t assume anything about how things are going for anyone,” she said. “You don’t know what people are facing, so it helps to be kind.”
