Thirty Years of Connect Education Workshops: 
A Q&A With Dr. Carolyn Messner

It has been 30 years since CancerCare's first Connect Education Workshop. What began with a single shared telephone call in 1990, now encompasses a program with more than 70 annual workshops accessible by phone, via webcast and through archived recordings online. CancerCare for Kids' Back-to-School Program

Now in its fifth year, the CancerCare for Kids Back-to-School Program provided new backpacks full of school free supplies to 150 children and teens in the tristate area. These back-to-school packages include a backpack, notebooks, folders, pencil cases, markers, crayons and/or colored pencils and additional age-appropriate supplies.
 
Supporter Spotlight: eSalon
 
For the eighth year in a row, eSalon, the first and only at-home custom hair color company, is donating a portion of proceeds to CancerCare during the month of October. Every order in October will help support people living with cancer, post-treatment survivors, caregivers and loved ones affected by cancer.

Last month, CancerCare debuted a brand-new digital fundraising campaign called Do Something for CancerCareWe are honored to recognize our top two fundraising teams of the first annual Do Something for CancerCare campaign: congratulations to Susan Smirnoff and to Joyce, Caren, Amy and Beth Heller! Both teams each raised more than $10,000 to provide help and hope to CancerCare clients.
