Women, STEM, and COVID-19
As we come to grips with still emerging repercussions of the pandemic, we are learning more about the impact on women in STEM careers, as well as the consequences for girls of existing disparities in access to science, technology, and education more broadly. As we seek to promote girls and young women in STEM, there are new challenges, lessons and some opportunities that have come with this global crisis. Generation Equality Forum

Tech Girls Movement Foundation
The Tech Girls Movement Foundation campaigns for a future where women will lead and innovate across STEM fields, thus empowering themselves, and bringing broader social and economic benefits. Their mission is to champion Australian school girls using hands-on learning to transform their future and encourage equity in the technology industry. Their principles are reinforced by the Tech Girls are Superheroes children’s books which are distributed free to schools and portray female STEM industry professionals at the vanguard of solving authentic problems.

UNESCO Report: COVID 19, technology-based education and disability: the case of Bangladesh, emerging practices in inclusive digital learning for students with disabilities
This study sheds light on Bangladesh’s initiatives in the area of disability-inclusive education. The particular focus is on the role of its Accessible Reading Materials (ARM) initiative and how this has contributed to ensuring disability-inclusive and accessible education during the pandemic. The main challenge in Bangladesh is that most publications remain locked in printed form or non-Unicode colonial font, and are inaccessible to persons with disabilities. This situation became more pronounced following the countrywide lock-down and related closures of educational institutions. As a result of the closures, Bangladesh’s millions of schoolchildren found themselves deprived of learning materials. Learn more.
